For a poor tint photos use the Auto Balance function (Click on Adjustments -> Auto White
Balance menu)
For a dark photos use the Auto Brightness function (Click on Adjustments - Auto
Corrections -> Auto Brightness menu)
For a very dark photos use the Auto Correct Dark Picture function (Click on Adjustments -
Auto Corrections -> Auto Correct Dark Picture menu)
For a "warm" photos (photos having an orange shade such as those taken under a
tungsten light) or "cold" pictures (pictures having a bluish shade such as those taken
under a florescent light) use the Auto Correct Cold/Warm Picture function (Click on
Adjustments -> Correct Cold/Warm Picture menu)

Convert colorful image to black and white while leaving part of it in colors
1. Open the desired photo - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O.)
2. From the Tools (the left) toolbar choose the desired Selection tool.
3. [Optional] For smooth transition between the black and white parts to the colorful part
set a feather value greater then zero, the feather box founds on the Tool Properties (the
upper) toolbar. Greater feather value will generate smoother transition.
4. Using the mouse select the area you wish to leave colorful.
5. Click on the Selections -> Invert menu (Or Ctrl + I) to invert the selection.
6. Click on the Adjustments -> GrayScale menu (Or Effects -> Colors -> Black & White
Photograph menu for more advanced options) to gray scale the selection.
7. Click 'Enter' (Or Selections -> Select None menu) to finish and remove the selection lines.
1. Open the desired photo - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O.)
2. From the Tools (the left) toolbar choose the Recovery Brush tool.
3. Select the area on the picture which is most similar (and preferably the closest) to the
area on which the imperfection is located. To select the similar area point on it with the
mouse and click on it with the right button.
4. In order to perform the repair, point on the area where the repair is needed with the
mouse. Move the mouse on the area while holding down the left button to perform the
repair.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 as much as need to complete the repair and to remove the
imperfections.
Scripts & Batch basics: In order to perform a batch operation you first have to record
the desired action and then using it in a batch mode. Recording actions is very easy thing to
do! Here is how to do it:

3. Perform the desired actions, for example to create script that resizes photos, convert
them to black & white and add a text "My trip to europe":
o Resize the photo using the resize tool (Click Image -> Resize... menu or Ctrl + w)
o Add Black White Photograph effect (Click on Effects -> Colors -> Black White
Photograph...)
o Using the text tool add the text "My trip to europe", set the desired text size,
color, style and location
4. Go to the Command Scripts tab and click on the Stop button to stop the script recording
(Figure no.1), once stopping you'll be prompted to save the script. Save the script under
the name MyScript1. Once saved you can use the script over and over as needed, share it
with others and etc.
5. In order to run the script on another single photoopen the photo (Click on File ->
Open... menu or Ctrl + o), next, look for the script on the scripts list and select it, once
selected click on the Execute button (figure no.3)

6. In order to run the script on multiple photos at once (in a batch), look for the
script on the scripts list and select it, once selected click on Batch Execute button (figure
no.4) to open the Scripts & Batch tool screen (figure no.5)

7. As you can see, clicking on Batch Execute button opened the Batch and Scripts screen
and added the MyScript1 script to the scripts list on the left side of the screen. Now all
you have to do is simply add the desired photos you wish to batch resize to the Image
Files List on the right side by clicking the Add Image Files button or by dragging them
from Windows Explorer in to the Image Files List (figure no.4)

Next, select the desired output directory (where to save the resized files), select the
resized files image format and click OK to run the script in a batch
[Optional]: On the same principle you can record any script you like and run it on multiple photos
in a batch
The Clone Brush tool is very useful when you want to perform a repair on areas on a photo such
as removing scratches and/or hiding an unwanted detail in the photo. In this case, you need to
select a certain area on the photo that is similar to the area where the detail you wish to hide is
located and simply copy on top of it the similar area. The Clone Brush is designed to copy parts
from a photo to another part of the photo (With the tool it is also possible to copy areas from a
certain layer to another place on the same layer and/or another layer on the same or on onother
photo). In order to activate the tool, press the Clone Brush Tool button in the Tools Toolbar.
Issue: Removing an unwanted object from an image using the Clone Brush tool (figure no. 1)

1. Open the desired picture - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O, figure no.2)

3. The principle of removing an unwanted object is simple - you have to choose a part of
the image that is similar to the object's background (usually near the unwanted object).
Using the clone brush cover the unwanted object with this similar background. RIGHT
click the mouse button on a part of the image, which is similar to the unwanted object's
background. Now move the mouse pointer to the unwanted object area, then left click
the mouse button. While holding the button, "rub" the unwanted object area, until the
object vanishes (figure no.3).

* If you wish to clone from a new background, simply RIGHT click the mouse button over
the new location.
* You can control the size/opacity (and much more) of the clone brush using the tool's
properties toolbar (the upper toolbar)
4. Repeat step 3, each time from a new background cloning location, until the entire object
vanishes. (figure no. 4)

Photo Pos Pro has three major tools enabling doing this task fast & easy:
1. Magnetic Selection
2. Magic Selection Brush
3. Magic Background Eraser
Each tool has his own pros and cons depending on the task you need to perform:
1. Magnetic Selection:
o Pros: The most powerful tool to take in/out object from a photo. This tool allows
selecting from very complex scenes
o Cons: Using the magnetic selection takes more time to perform the task then
with the Magic Selection Brush or with the Magic Background Eraser

In order to easily remove/replace image background simply follow these steps:
1. Open the desired (the object) picture - (Click on File -> Open menu or Ctrl+O, figure

4. Continue doing the erasing - Magically the eraser will erase the background while leaving
all the rest! (figure no.5)
