How I keep in touch with friends and family

I think I’m pretty good at keeping in touch with my friends and family. I text my close friends
a lot when we are making arrangements to meet. It's quicker than calling everyone. I also
use social networking a lot.  That's better than anything for keeping in touch. I usually call
my parents because they like to have longer conversations about college and things. They
prefer to use the phone because they think it's more personal. I’m going to set up video
calling on their computer, so they can see me when they’re talking to me.

Blog entry 2:
I’m very good at communicating with my friends and family – I’m always on my cellphone! I
like to send instant messages to my friends because it’s quicker than calling and less
expensive. I usually texting my family because they're busier than me and they're not
always home. They think texting is better, too. My grandmother have a cellphone, so I send
her texting sometimes. I like these ways of keeping in touch because writing is quicker and
easier for me than send email. They prefer to use the phone because they think it's more
personal.

Thanks
My communication style

I make a lot of phone calls at home. I texting messaging a lot too. Sometimes it’s hard to
have a conversation with messages, so I often use emails. I send letters to my
grandparents but emails to everyone else. I prefer talking to writing, and I especially love
chatting with my friends! Last night I spent two hours on the phone with my mother!

Thanks
The pros and cons of social networking

Social networks are a phenomenon that is gaining more and more followers, especially young
people and teenagers.

The advantages are to generate more communication and interaction among young people,
they are better informed, overcome shyness through these, in addition, It facilitates the
relationship between people without cultural and physical barriers.

The disadvantages are that they lose interaction with their social environment and family, they
can become victims of cyberbullyng and phishing, they are exposed to people who often do
not know, publishing personal information.

In my opinion, the use of social networks has many benefits but what we should not forget is
that we should know how to use it.
1.- I think tablets are harder to use than smartphones.

Really? I think smartphones are easier to use than tablets because has more services.

2.- Cameras take better photos than the cameras in cell phones.

I'm not so sure. I think cameras in cell phones take better photos than cameras. The camera in
my cell phone is better than my regular camera, because has better resolution.

3.- I think it's more important to listen to the radio than watch TV.

Really? I think it's less important to listen to the radio than watch TV. On TV you can see a lot
of programs. With the radio you can only hear about things, for example news or music.

4.- It's easier to understand a voice-mail message in English than a written note.

I don't think so! I think it's harder to understand a voice-mail message in English than a written
note, because english is more difficult learn.

5.- It's worse to have no phone than to have no laptop.

Do you think so? I think it's better to have phone because you can do most things with a
phone, but not a laptop.

6.- I think text messages are more popular than phone calls.

Actually I think the text messages are more popular than phone calls. Most of my family live
away, and it´s better communication.
