1.1 ABSTRACT:
The concerned design proposal here aims at creating an iconic Business resort
which does not have a resort property yet. The resort design here not only concentrates on robust
and efficient space planning, but also on the aesthetic values which define modern day hospitality
ethos. The Purpose of the thesis is to design a desert resort which will be -functional,
aesthetically sound with excellent services" to develop a property that simultaneously meets the
needs of the guests, the staff, and the owner.

To develop an effective space in the resort which could become a perfect
place of living, meeting, as well as recreation for the people in the city.
To analyse and give solutions to the problems that the city & the pilgrims
are facing in terms of the accommodation and & their effective utilization as
well. To develop the facilities & the amenities at the desert resort complex which
could serve the people in the most functional way & also to create a perfect
ambience, so that people tends to visit more & more there.

1.5 Site Selection:
The selected site for the project is in Bikaner , Rajasthan. Aptly called the “Camel City”,
Bikaner offers a truly grandiose experience of sandy deserts in India. It lies some 330 km from
Jaipur amid the undulating sandhills of the Thar desert.
Bikaner derives its name from Rao Bikaji, a Rathore King who established this city in 1488. The
city is renowned for its red sandstone forts, beautiful desert vistas and unforgettable camel safari
experiences.
