ABSTRACT

The study sought to find out the Profitability Analysis of NBL. The researcher have
selected sample of NBL out of total 28 Commercial Banks in Nepal. The study was
descriptive in nature. Document analysis was the main research procedure adapted to
collect secondary data for the study. This study includes not only the internal factors,
but also external factors, which determines the profitability condition of the bank. It
helps us to evaluate the profitability and financial status of the bank assessing the Net
Profit, NIM, ROA, ROE and ROI etc. in this report mainly secondary data are used.
For the data collection direct conversation with the staff, manager, and employee of
the bank. Website of the bank helped to abstract the annual report of the bank. This
report helps us to analyze the different ratios. To evaluate this objective many ratio
are used. According to the calculation done during research and finalizing report it
shows that all the ratios are fluctuated. NBL has been able to sustain its operation
smoothly despite tough competition.

knowledge as a great part of study. Tribhuvan University has launched the
opportunity of partial education for report writing for the students of BBS 4 th year.
This helps me to gain practical knowledge about analysis and management sectors on
subject of “A Study on Profitability Analysis of Nabil Bank Limited”.

I would like to give a deep gratitude to our Campus Chief Mr. Jagdishwar Khanal
for providing such an opportunity and condition to write the report under the different
subject field work. I would also like to thank Mr. B.R. Panthi for the valuable
