Is communication intentional?

- Communication intentional is something done with purpose,


- The basic thing about communication intentional is you always think before you speak and
always watch your word. Besides that, you will notice what you are feeling in all of your
communication.
- In many ways, skillful communicating is simple, but far from easy. It takes a lot of conscious
control to break crusty old habits. Often our emotions (which have been habituated as well)
don’t easily bend to our new intentions. It is often much more comfortable to slide back
into the old behaviors.
- Most of us were not given the tools of good communication. We learned through the
conditioning of our role models. How good were they? Intentional communication is an art
form. It starts with thought and is grown to habit through practice. That’s the hard part.

Is communication limited to speech?

communication is not limited to speech, it could also be in none verbal way such as sign language or
body language. For example, Facial expressions, makin an Eye contact, or Gestures.

here are three different communications channels based on formality: formal, informal and
unofficial.

Formal communication includes exchange of information such as the goals, policies and procedures
of an organization.

Informal communication channels are also used to deliver official business messages but in a more
relaxed way.

In addition to official communication channels, there is also an unofficial mode of communication


that is quite common in the workplace. Unofficial communication includes employee communication
outside of work environment on topics not related to work.
