PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) POLICY


It is a requirement at Rovshan Oguz Projects that the following PPE is worn.

All personnel outside of the sign posted PPE Free Zones


 Hard Hat – with chin strap while working at height
 Safety Boots / Shoes – with hard toe
 Short sleeve shirt, Long pants or short sleeve cotton coveralls (Construction
Areas Only).
 Fire Resistant Coveralls – with long sleeves are mandatory in Operational
Areas.
 Safety Glasses – in winter months only clear glasses are permitted
 Gloves – when conducting any physical work
NOTE: For the purpose of transporting personnel between offices the vehicle is
considered a PPE free zone however the driver must maintain a full set of PPE within
the vehicle.

Additional PPE
 Full face shield in addition to safety glasses for grinding, chipping and when in
control of a concrete pump hose.
 A full length apron to protect the body from concrete splatter when controlling
a concrete pump hose.
 Fall arrestor with shock absorber for all work on unprotected platforms above 2
metres.
 Ear protection – where supervision deem it to be required or safety signs or
conditions dictate it.
 Leather protection for welders when working in restricted or confined areas.
 Welding shields for all welding operations.
 Personnel carrying out grinding activities shall be provide with and instructed
to wear leather gloves, long pants or coveralls at all times when grinding steel,
aluminum
 Respiratory equipment in areas with exposure to fumes or dust.
 Impervious gloves are to be worn when handling chemicals / paints etc.
