1、Product instruction
DS-7100HGH-E1 series embedded network hard disk video recorder is Hikvision's new
generation of coaxial HD DVR products. This series of products follow the specifications of
HDTVI, HDTVI and CVBS can access the analog camera, and using a number of high-tech IT can
achieve independent HD monitoring local, also can be composed of a set of powerful security
system.
DS-7100HGH-E1 series embedded network hard disk video recorder can be used in financial,
public security, troops, telecommunications, transportation, electricity, education, water
conservancy and other areas of security.

1.1 Functional properties

 Conforms to the HDTVI Standard Specification, supports HDTVI camera and analog camera
access；
 Maximum support 4/8/16 channel HD 720P code；
 Long distance coaxial cable transmission, 720P supports 500 meters reliable transmission；
 Support through the coaxial cable transmission control signal, can tilt the camera and
menu control, simple and convenient；
 Support HDMI and VGA at the same time output, HDMI and VGA output resolution up to 1920x1080；
 New UI interface, support for a key to open the video function；
 Support video files packaged by time；
 The maximum support 16 synchronous playback and multi-channel upside down；
 Support tag definition, query, and playback of video files；
 Support intelligent playback, improve the efficiency of video playback, save the time of
playback video；
 Support disk quota and hard disk storage mode, can be different channel allocation of
different video storage capacity or cycle；
 Support video quality diagnosis (VQD) function, and make quality analysis and early warning
to the input analog video signal；
 Support fluorite cloud services, the Internet can be a key configuration.

5.1 Video and audio module

 Master chip of video and audio module：TP2806(UT1/2)、TW2964(U3/17)

 HDTVI video chip：
TP2806(UT1)：control HDTVI video signal input for the 1-4 channel；1-4ch HDTVI signal are
corresponding to the 7/18/29/40 pin respectively for input into TP2806(UT1)，input-end matching 100nF
capacitor (CT1/2/3/4)；
TP2806(UT2)：control HDTVI signal input of the 5-8 channel；5-8 channel HDTVI signal are
corresponding to the 7/18/29/40 pin respectively for input into TP2806(UT2)，input-end matching 100nF
capacitor (CT54/43/58/45)；
 Analog video chip：
TW2964(U3)：control SD video signal input of the 1-4 channel and audio signal input of the 1channel；
1-4 channel SD signal are corresponding to the 119/116/113/110 pin respectively for input into
TW2964(U3), input-end matching 100nF capacitor (CS138/131/130/86)；the 1 channel audio signal is
corresponding to the 103 pin for input into TW2964(U3)，input-end matching 100Ω resistor (RS87)、
2.2uFcapacitor (CS140)；
TW2964(U17)：control SD video signal input of the 5-8 channel；5-8 channel SD signal are
corresponding to the 119/116/113/110 pin respectively for input into TW2964(U17)，input-end matching
100nf capacitor(CS216/206/245/235)；
 TVS protection tube TSS (TVS97/96/101/100/99/98/103/102) ：provide protection for 1-8ch video
respectively；
 75Ω resistor (RS81/101/103/RV1/RS140/141/137/RV158)、47Ωresistor
(RS80/79/78/165/142/139/138/136)：provide protection for 1-8ch video respectively；
 27M(X1)：provide working clock to TW2964(U3/17) and TP2806(UT1/2)，the working clock signal for
TW2964(U3/17) input from the 46 pin，the working clock signal for test point 22Ω resistor(RT23/64)；
TP2806(UT1/2) input from the 161 pin；
 BU33TD3WG (UV9/UV12)：the 1 pin input 5V，the 5 pin output 3.3V，respectively provide 3.3V
working voltage to TP2806(UT1/UT2)；

6、DS-80238(V1.2)-D1 mainboard failure analysis

6.1 Image problem

The first confirm whether HDTVI and SD abnormal：

 SD anbormal：
 A few channels without video signal or image abnormalities：
1) Observe the components around TW2964 chip whether is ok, no component damaged or missing；
2) Measure the protection tube of corresponding channel；
3) Exclude 47Ω and 75Ω resister of corresponding channel；
4) Measure the impedance of 100nf capacitor which match with video signal input-end，otherwise replace；
5) Connect video signal with probe and link to the 100nF capacitor of input end of TW2964(U3/U17)，若无
if no video signal, place the corresponding AD chip TW2964；
6) Replace KY2013-2(U1)
 All of 4channels no image or abnormal
1) Observe the surface of TW2964 or touch with hand after power on, preliminary judge whether TW2964
chip have burn；
2) Measure the 1 pin of BU33TD3WG (UV9/UV12) 5V，the 5 pin 3.3V，otherwise check the corresponding
circuit；
3) Measure 27M clock signal of 27M(X1)、22Ω(RT23/64) with an oscilloscope whether it is normal with
output， otherwise exclude the corresponding resistor(RT23/64) and 27M(X1)；if 27M is normal，then
exclude the corresponding AD chip TW2964(U3/17)
4) Replace KY2013-2(U1)
 HDTVI abnormal：
 A few of channels with HDTVI no image or abnormal：
1) Observe whether the components around TP2806 chip is prefect, there are no component damaged or
missing;
2) Measure protection tube of the corresponding channel；
3) Exclude 47Ω and 75Ω resister of the corresponding channel；
4) Exclude 100nf capacitor of the corresponding channel；
5) Plug the abnormal signal channels, observe whether the serial port print error, if it is, replace
KY2013-2(U1)；if not, replace the corresponding TP2806；
 All of 4 channels with HDTVI no image or abnormal
1) Observe the surface of TP2806 or touch lightly with hands after power on, preliminary judge whether
TP2806 chip have burn；
2) Measure the power voltage 1.2V、3.3V of TP2806 whether it is normal,（test point is near or on the back
of beads and capacitor），If it is not normal to exclude the corresponding circuit；
3) Measure and confirm whether 27M clock signal on the 27M(X1)、22Ω(RT22/63) is normal use the
oscilloscope，otherwise exclude the corresponding resistor (RT22/63) and 27M(X1)；if 27M is normal，
exclude the corresponding TP2806(UT1/2)；
4) Replace KY2013-2(U1)；

6.2 VGA no output/color cast/blurred screen

 VGA no output
1) Measure the value of 33Ω(RG4/11)、0Ω (RG20/21)、10Ω(RG22/23/24)、75Ω (R69/70/71)，otherwise
replace
2) The 1、4、6 pin of TVS array (U13) are three primary colors signal，the 3 pin is horizontal signal(HS)，
TVS protection tube(D22) is vertical signal(VS)；measure TVS protection tube(D22)、TVS array (U13)
whether the value is correct foe ground，otherwise replace；

3) Replace KY2013-2(U1)；
 VGA output color cast/blurred screen
1) Measure the value of 10Ω(RG22/23/24)、75Ω (R69/70/71), otherwise replace
2) Replace TVS array (U13)
3) Replace KY2013-2(U1)；
Remark：VGA output color cast/blurred screen is caused by the sault of VGA control model hardware, not caused by the fault of video of
A/D control module hardware, it is different with color /flower screen of image, commonly VGA output color cast/blurred screen include
boot LOGO、image、system menu will be color cast/blurred screen, but image color cast/blurred screen only for image problem, boot
LOGO、system menu is normal

6.3 Start exception problem

 No power
1) Check surface, whether power chip and other chips are burn
2) Use multimeter to measure and confirm whether the power exist short, Removal of power to carry out
impedance measurements, if not short, replace power chip; if yes, it caused by power supply load fault
 No reaction after power
1) In general, the main problem is the serial port without the power supply、flash and main chip
KY2013-2(U1), clock、reset (test point the 2 pin of UL6, 3.3V)、memory is basically no problem in most
cases.
2) Check power: check power circuit exist short、the power sequence and output voltage are normal,
3.3V-2.5V-1.5V-1.0V；
3) Direct exchange with Flash
4) Replace main control chip KY2013-2(U1)
5) Replace memory chip UM1/2
 Can not completely start
1) Exclude whether power circuit exist short, otherwise replace
2) Update software
3) Replace main control chip KY2013-2(U1)
4) Replace memory chip UM1/UM2

6.4 Intercom problem

 Check whether the RCA interface is in good condition at the first time, exclude the software and
parameter settings
 Exclude the corresponding resistor and capacitor：
Line in abnormal：exclude 100Ω resistor (RS87)、2.2uF capacitor (CS140)，otherwise replace；
AOUT abnormal：exclude 3.6KΩ resistor (RS108)、10uF capacitor(CS80)，otherwise replace；
 Exclude TW2964(U3)；

6.5 RS232 interface fault

RS232 port main fault: no output of serial port, or control failed (can’t input any orders)
 Serial port no input and gibberish, measure the value 100Ω(RL23/24), otherwise replace
 KY2013-2(U1)；

6.6 Network unreasonable

 Check surface at the first time, burn、corrosion etc.；

 Measure whether the value of 2.2Ω resistor (RN15/9/52/53) is normal, otherwise replace；
 Exclude HST-0041SAR(UN1)；
 Replace IP101GR(U16)；

6.7 SATA hard disk failure

 Observe whether the resistors and capacitors near SATA interface are knocked；
 Measure 12V and 5V voltage on the power supply interface to confirm whether they are normal，
otherwise exclude the corresponding circuit；
 Replace KY2013-2(U1)

6.8 Clock failure

 Exclude battery(normal voltage 3.3V)

 If can’t check time, replace 85163(UL1)
 If check time failed, replace 32768HZ(X9)
 If battery leakage, replace diode LL4148(D26/27/28)
Remark：clock failure repaired, power off 5min and power up again, observe whether
the time is correct.

6.9 HDMI no output

 Connect HDMI monitor, measure voltage of the 1 and 2 pin of LMBT3904 (Q10) to ground, if lower than
3V, please replace；
 Remove TVS array 0524P(UHD1/2) to retest, if normal, use the good component to weld; if no output,
replace TVS array UHD6；
 Replace L2N7002LT1G(Q6/7)；
 Replace Y2013-2(U1)；
