Engine Controller Manual
This engine monitor is designed for 10-32 VDC systems. It will allow for
energizing relays to control shut off fuel valve, glow plug, and starter motor.
The unit allows the following temperature, pressure, and fuel senders to be
used:
• Temperature
100-240 F, Steward Warner style
100-280 F, Steward Warner style
100-250 F, VDO style
70-260 F, Deutz style
• Pressure
0-80 PSI, Steward Warner style
0-100 PSI, Steward Warner style
0-80 PSI, VDO style
0-100 PSI, VDO style
• Fuel
240-33 ohms, Steward Warner style
10-180 ohms, VDO style
0-90 ohms, AC Delco style

Home Screen Buttons
The unit will power up as soon as power is present across PIN 1 and PIN 2
on primary plug. There are five (5) buttons arraigned from left to right.
• Button 1 – Pressing button once will attempt to AUTO start the
engine. It will activate Button 2 to open the fuel valve and activate the
glow plug relay to heat the fuel; the heat time can be adjusted in the
Menu. After the heat is over it will attempt to crank the engine; crank
time can also be adjusted in the Menu. If the engine does not reach
800 RPM or higher, the AUTO sequence will attempt another start for
a total of 3 attempts.
• Button 2 – Pressing button 2 will activate the glow plug relay
manually.
• Button 3 – Pressing button 3 will energize the starter relay manually.
• Button 4 – Pressing button 4 will shut down the engine by actuating
the relay and closing the fuel valve.
• Button 5 – Pressing button 5 will allow the adjustment of the screen
brightness using button 1 and 2, adjust the button backlight using
buttons 3 and 4. Pressing button 5 again will exit out of this function.
Holding button 5 for more than 2 seconds will open the Configuration
menu.

Menu Options
Note: To access Configuration Menu, press and hold button 5 for more
than 2 seconds.
In the Menu, use button 1 to scroll up and button 2 to scroll down, button 4
is used to enter the selected option.
• Input Settings
o This is where the temperature, oil pressure, and tachometer
settings are configured. (Next Page)
o Maximum RPM; this can be configured from 2500 to 5000 RPM in
500 RPM increments.
o Engine Control Settings
Heat Time (s) – can adjust heat time from 0 to 20 seconds.
Crank Time (s) – can be adjust crank time from 0 to 20
seconds.
Engine Shutoff – can adjust pressure at which the engine will
shutdown automatically when oil pressure is lost, 15 to 35
PSI.
Engine Shutoff – can adjust temperature at which the engine
will shutdown automatically when engine temperature is too
high, 32 to 527 deg F.
Overspeed Shutoff – can adjust RPM at which the engine will
shutoff. OFF, 2000 to 5000 RPM in 100 RPM increments.
o Settings Menu
Language can be changed here.
The sound that is emitted buttons are pressed can be turned
OFF or ON here.
Can be used to restore the unit to default settings.
COM Viewer – used to monitor RS232, RS485 and CAN
messages if the engine is connected in this manner.
About – displays the software version of the unit.
o Units – Here pressure can be changed between PSI, Bar, and
kPa. Temperature can be changed between Celsius and
Fahrenheit. When these units are changed the home screen will
adjust accordantly and so will the Engine Shutoff settings.

Input settings – Use button 4 to enter the highlighted settings. In these
settings use button 1 and 2 to move the selection box up and down within
the settings. The only box that needs to be adjusted is the Table. The Table
should correspond to the sender used for temperature or pressure. Below
are the senders available and their corresponding tables, use button 3 and
4 to scroll through the selections.
Digital PIN 10 – Used for tachometer. On the tachometer the table is not
available; all the adjustments are made in Signal Gain and Signal Offset
selections. Have the engine running on idle and adjust using buttons 3 and
4 until the number in the Output window matches the RPM shown on a
tachometer, or the reading is the same as the idle RPM from the Engine
Manual.
