8 EXAMINATION
Examination admission
The submission of any of the three assignments on or before the due dates will confirm your
admission for the semester-end examination. We highly recommend that you submit all 3
assignments, as in the past, students that do so have a higher pass rate. Please note that if
you do not submit the assignments on time you will not be allowed to write the examination.
A subminimum of 40%
Since you can earn a semester mark, which will contribute to the final mark, the University requires
that a subminimum of 40% must be achieved in the examination to pass the module.
Examination period
During the semester, you will be provided with information regarding the examination in general,
venues, dates and times. If your final mark (taking the semester mark into account) is between
40% and 49%, you will be given an opportunity to rewrite the supplementary exam in the following
examination period.
