Installation Notes
If you already have a copy of Statistix 9 on your computer, you must remove it before installing this copy.
Click Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs.

If you have a copy of Statistix that predates version 9, you do not have to remove it before installing this
copy. However, you must make certain that you don’t install this copy in the same destination folder and
the previous version.

Before installing Statistix, close all other applications, including minimized applications. Then insert the
Statistix distribution CD into your computer.

If the installation program does not start automatically, click on Start, then click on Run. Enter d:setup at
the Open prompt and click OK (if the drive you’re using is not drive d:, substitute the correct letter in the
run command).

Page 17. Append the following paragraph.


The Printed Graph Aspect Ratio options allow you to control the aspect ratio of graphs when you print
them. When viewing a graph on your screen, you can change the shape of the graph by dragging the
sides or corners of the window using your mouse. When you print a graph, you can have Statistix
maintain the same aspect ratio that appeared on the screen, or expand the graph to fill the page. There
are four options listed: Maintain Screen Aspect Ratio, Full Page Landscape Only, Full Page Portrait Only,
Full Page Landscape & Portrait.

Page 105. The last sentence on the page should read, “If the value falls on an interval boundary, the
value is counted on the higher of the two intervals”.

Page 283. The Best Mean box on the dialog box shown should have the Smallest Values checked, not
the Largest Value checked.
