Horizontal Stacking

Horizontal stacking allows up to 8 Cisco 3560CX series switches to be stacked using 10G SFP+ ports on the front of the switches, providing 20Gbps of stacking bandwidth. The stacking ports can use fiber or copper cables depending on the transceiver used, and the distance will depend on the optics installed. Administrators can configure one of the 10G ports on a switch as a stacking port to join additional switches to the stack.
