For each topic you have to use vocabulary, grammar from the book Touchstone 2 and also follow the
plan of the answer. Your answer should have not less than 80 words and it should be s story, not just
answers to the questions.

Topic 1 Getting to Know You

Topic 2 Leisure Time

Topic 3 Healthy Living

1. Where and when were you born?


2. Where did you grow up, go to school?
3. Who took care of you when you were little?
4. What did you when you came home from school?
5. Who was your best friend
6. Where did you live a year ago?
7. When did you go to school? What was your schedule?
8. What were your favourite classes at school and why?
9. Did you have an orchestra, choir at school?
10. What were you good/bad at school?

Topic 6 Around Town

(To answer most of the questions use SB p54-57, prepositions , words to show direction, vocabulary
and grammar of the unit)

Tell about:

1. What is there in the neighbourhood where you live?


2. How do to get to the subway from the place you live?
3. Is there a good place to go shopping in your neighbourhood?
4. Are there any cash machines within walking distance in your area?
5. Is there a place to go skateboarding near here?
6. Recommend a cheap restaurant around the place you live and a place to go running

Topic 7 Going Away

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 66-69, clichés of giving advice, vocabulary and grammar of
the unit)

Tell about :

1. What is your to-do list for a holiday?


2. Is it expensive to travel around your country?
3. Is it is difficult to find a bargain online to go to a foreign country?
4. Where are you going to for the next holiday?
5. Why are you are going there?
6. Things you need to take with you for your holiday/for camping.
7. Give advice to someone who goes sightseeing in your city/ backpacking around your country.

Topic 8 At Home

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 76-79 vocabulary and grammar of the unit)

Tell about

1. What furniture do you have at home in different rooms, kitchen? What do you do there?
2. What kind of sizes, shapes, colours and nationality have the things in your room
3. Where do you keep your clothes, sports equipment, music files? ( use grammar and vocabulary
from SB p 77)
4. Tell about your evening routines with the help of words ( First, next,(and) then , when , as soon
as, while, before/after)

Topic 9 Things went wrong

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 86-89, 93, vocabulary and grammar of the unit)

Tell about

1. What went wrong with you, what were you doing at that moment and how it happened ( use linking
words when and while), if it ended good.
2. What injuries people can get and what they do when they get them

Topic 10 Communication

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 98-99,105 vocabulary and grammar of the unit)

Tell about

1. Which types of communication you know


2. How you usually keep and touch and why you use these types of communication
3. Compare two types of communication using comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives
4. What types of communication your friends use more and less than you
5. What pros and cons of emails and letters ?( use however, on the other hand, I think…, In my
opinion)

Topic 11 Appearance

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 108-111,115 vocabulary and grammar of the unit)

Tell about:

1. What does your friend look like? ( tall, hair, eyes, )


2. Who of your relatives take after your granddad or grandma?
3. Who has beard and moustache among your friends?
4. Do you know someone who wears a ponytail?
5. Describe a fashion trend of today (use words: in style, out of style, dated/old-fashion, popular,
it’s fashionable to wear; trendy – SB p 115 ex 3)

Topic 12 Future

(To answer most of the questions use SB p 118- 121 vocabulary and grammar of the unit)

Tell about

1. Your plans for the future


2. .When you think someone of your family/feinds is going to:
• retire and what are the plans of this person
• get an interesting job and what this person’s plan
• graduate from university and plans for the future of this person
• ask for a promotion and the plans for the future of this person
3. What professions your know, which professions are rewarding, interesting, difficult and in which
profession you can earn a lot of money

Write about:

1. “Celebrations Around the World” – 80-100 words.

You have to make research and use ideas from Students’ s book page 40- text, vocabulary unit 4
pages 33-41, use linking ideas – apart from it, except for ( Student’s book page 51 ex3 ( box),
first, next, then, during, when, as soon as, while, after, before (Student’s book page 83 ex 3
(box).

Write about an unusual holiday people celebrate around the world based on your research of the
holiday: where it is celebrated, when, what people do on that holiday.

2. “Teenage Years” – 80-100 words.

Use ideas from Student’s Book page 50, Past simple verbs and vocabulary of the Unit 5 (
Student’s Book pages 43-51)

Write about:
1. Where were you born? Did you spend your teens there?
2. What is one thing you remember about school?
3. What were your best subjects at school and your worst?
4. How did you spend your free time?
5. What fashions and trends do you remember form your teen years?
6. What was the most difficult thing about being a teenager?
7. Who influenced you when you were a teenager? What did you learn?
