Kindly consider the respective tags for respective HGGs. Total 3 nos. of Local Panels, 1 for HGG‐1 & HGG‐2 (Boiler‐1), 2 for HGG‐3 & HGG‐4 (Boiler‐ 2), 3 for HGG‐5 & HGG‐6 (Boiler‐3), respectively. Indications will glow on the Local Panels corresponding to the respective HGG’s status. BURNER OPERATION PHILOSOPHY SYSTEM STARTUP SEQUENCE Put the control supply switch to "ON" position from DCS Panel, "CONTROL SUPPLY ON" indication will be illuminated on DCS panel. Operator has to select Local mode operation or remote operation with selector switch provided on DCS Panel. With Local Mode selected from DCS Panel, “Local Mode ON” indication will be illuminated on DCS Panel as well as Local Panel. With Remote Mode selected from DCS Panel, “Remote Mode ON” indication will be illuminated on DCS panel. Now the DCS system (By client) will check for the following start up interlocks:‐ Combustion Air Flow not Low (By Client) All Blowers / Fans (ID, FD, etc.) are ON (By Client) System Permissive OK (By Client) Fuel Oil Control Valve in LF position (01HJF10‐AA101‐YB02) Oil line inlet pressure not low (01HJF10‐CP101‐XG02, 01HJF10‐CP102‐XG02, 01HJF10‐ CP103‐XG02) (2 OUT OF 3 LOGIC) Oil line return Shut off valve in Open position (01HJF30‐AA101‐XB01) Oil line Shut off valve in Close position (01HJF11‐AA101‐YB02) (REVISION: 3) Emergency stop command not executed Instrument Air pressure OK (01QFB10‐CP101‐XG02) No "Flame ON" Signal (01HHA10‐CB101) Bypass Damper in Close Position (01HJA10‐CG101‐XB01) Atomizing Air Pressure after PRV not Low (01HJN10‐AA101‐XQ01)

Hot Gas Generator PAGE NO. 3 of 7 DOC NO. 09-2059-BMS-01 CHKD BY RNJ FCS JOB 09-2059 APPD BY KKJ Fives CombustionSystems Pvt.Ltd Atomizing Air, Scavenging Air Solenoid Valves not energized (01HJF10‐AA101‐XB02, 01HJN11‐AA010‐YB01) respectively. Note: Operator shall ensure that Bypass Damper is kept close at the time of start up of HGG to ensure that all the air flow is taken through the combustion zone into the system. PURGE SEQUENCE Once the above limits are satisfied, "Purge Ready" indication will be illuminated on DCS / Local Panel. Now operator needs to press Purge start PB from BMS/Local Panel depending on Remote / Local selection. With Purge Start command, Combustion Air Damper for the Burner will go to high fire position (01HHL11‐AA011‐XB01). “Purge Complete / Purge‐In‐Progress” lamp will start to flicker on DCS / Local Panel. Purge Cycle will continue for 5 minutes. Delay of 5 minutes needs to be ensured. After completion of Purge Cycle, Combustion Air Damper will go back to Low firing position (01HHL11‐AA011‐XB02) and “Purge Complete / Purge in Progress” Lamp will become steady. If any of the interlocks fail during the purge cycle, purge cycle would be discontinued and the system will go back to “Purge Ready” condition and purge cycle needs to be restarted.
BURNER STARTUP SEQUENCE With the Purge compete and above mentioned startup condition satisfied, “Burner Ready to fire” indication lamp will be illuminated on DCS / Local Panel. Now the operator could start the burner by pressing "BURNER START" Push button, either from Local Panel or DCS Panel (depending upon Local / Remote selection). If the burner start command has not been executed within 10 min of purge complete then Purge Cycle would trip and needs to be restarted. Prior to burner startup, following interlocks must be checked: Burner Startup Interlocks Combustion Air Damper in Low Firing Position (01HHL11‐AA011‐XB02) Differential Press. Across HGG OK (01HHA10‐DP101‐XQ01) Burner Stop push button not pressed

After HEI insert feedback, HEI will be energized for 10 seconds and “HEI ON” indication will be illuminated on Local Panel / DCS Panel. Along with HEI, atomizing air solenoid valve will be energized to open, Return Line SSOV will be energized to close and main SSOV will be energized to open. Respective feedbacks must be ensured. After 10 seconds, HEI will be de‐energized. If during this 10 seconds flame ON is not established and proved by flame scanner (01HHA10‐CB101), then along with HEI both Return and Main line SSOV will get de‐energized. If within 10 seconds Flame ON contact is established by Flame Scanner (01HHA10‐CB101), “Flame ON” indication will be illuminated on DCS / Local Panel. SSOV will remain energized and “Burner ON” indication will be illuminated on DCS / Local Panel. After 45 sec of Burner startup and burner not trip, “Ready for Ramping” indication will be illuminated on DCS / Local Panel. Operator may now modulate the firing rate as per Boiler’s requirement. Burner can be stopped at any time by pressing Burner Stop PB from DCS / Local Panel irrespective of Remote / Local Selection. With Emergency Stop PB pressed from DCS / Local Panel (irrespective of Remote / Local Selection), physical supply to all SSOV and SV get disconnected and the system gets tripped. Following conditions will trip the established running of burners:‐ BURNER STOP / TRIP INTERLOCKS Oil Pressure after Shut off Valve High (01HJF11‐CP101‐XG01, 01HJF11‐CP102‐XG01, 01HJF11‐CP103‐XG01) (2 out of 3 logic) (after 5 sec of energizing Shut off Valve 1A‐OIL‐ SSOV‐222) Oil Pressure at pipe rack inlet Low (01HJF10‐CP101‐XG02, 01HJF10‐CP102‐XG02, 01HJF10‐ CP103‐XG02) (2 out of 3 logic) (after 5 sec of energizing Shut off Valve 1C‐OIL‐SSOV‐101)

After completion scavenging solenoid valve will get de‐energized to close. Scavenging cycle will trip if following interlocks are not maintained: Emergency PB pressed Atomizing Air pressure before PRV not OK (01HJN10‐CP102‐XG02, 01HJN10‐CP103‐XG02, 01HJN104‐CP102‐XG02) (2 out of 3 logic) System Permissive ok (By Client) Inst. Air pressure NOT OK (01QFB10‐CP101‐XG02) Flame Failure If scavenging cycle trips without completion, operator has to manually drain out the accumulated oil after Shut off valve so as to keep the oil line between oil shutoff valve and burner empty.
