PLAN NEW DREDGING SEARCH RESULTS

1. P609-B Laguna de Bay rehab plan. This is a welcome opportunity as this will truly aid in addressing
the Laguna Lake’s continual problems in siltation, industrial pollution, sedimentation, and lakeshore

Laguna Lake Development and Rehabilitation Project includes dredging of approximately 800 million
cubic meters of silt and mud.

25 November 2020 It has been reported that project proponent has been issued original proponent
status (OPS). Project under review by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), through
Public-Private Partnership Center. The unsolicited proposal will be under the Build-Own-Operate (BOO)
scheme. The consortium is led by Taguig Lake City Development Corporation (TLCDC), with two big
foreign companies as partners.

TO EXPLORE THE VIABILITY OF LAGUNA DE BAY AS ANOTHER SOURCE OF POTABLE WATER FOR THE
NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR).
2. SMC sets massive river dredging program in Bulacan. SAN Miguel Corporation (SMC) has committed
to help solve the flooding problem in Bulacan by dredging, widening, and cleaning up major rivers in the
province, as it gears up for the construction of its P734 billion Manila International Airport in Bulakan
town, the biggest airport development in the Philippines. For the Alipit River, Ang said the target is to
achieve a bottom width of 60 meters and a depth of 2.5 meters, mean sea level (MSL) throughout its
7.21-kilometer length. For the Sta. Maria River, target is a bottom width of 90m, dredged depth of 5.0m
MSL, and length of 0.50 km. Meanwhile, for the Meycauayan River, the target bottom width is 80m;
dredged depth, 4.5m MSL, and length of 4.46 km. Link:

3. Firms to dredge Cagayan River for free – DENR. Signatories to the memorandum of agreement (MoA)
on the Cagayan River Restoration Project (CRRP) Antonio Talaue, Great River North Consortium (GRNC)

Executive Region 2 Director Gwendolyn Bambalan of Cagayan Valley. The Inter-Agency Committee (IAC)

Construction Incorporated.

PLAN NEW RECLAMATION

1. PCC approves 318-hectare Waterfront Manila reclamation joint venture. The Philippine Competition
Commission (PCC) on Friday, March 19, approved the joint venture between the local government of
Manila and Waterfront Manila Premier Development for a 318-hectare reclamation project in Manila
Bay. Waterfront Manila, a real estate developer under the Crisanta Realty Development Corporation and
Pacific Rehouse Corporation, will spend for and build the reclamation project, while the local
government of Manila will contribute rights over municipal waters where the project will be developed.
