We, the students of ______________School with the help of Almighty God, believing
in the need for a better organized student government and in the development of the youth
as future leaders of the nation, do hereby promulgate and adopt this Revised Standard
Constitution and By- Laws of the Filipino Club that shall advance, implement, and maintain
our goals and aspiration embody the ideas of principle of freedom, equality, justice and
democracy and promote the welfare of all students and the academic standard of our Alma
Mater.
ARTICLE II – PURPOSE
Section 1. Membership shall be open to all ____ students taking Filipino subjects from Grade
VII to Grade XII Curriculum.
Section 2. The membership fee shall be determined during the first general meeting not less
than twenty pesos (Php20.00).
ARITCLE IV – DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF OFFICERS
Section 1. The officers of the Club are the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer,
Auditor, Public Information Officer and one (1) Representative from each year level.
Section 2. The President. The President shall be the head of the club and shall have the
following duties and functions:
a. Act as the chief spokesperson and the official representative of the Organization;
b. Preside in all the meetings of the club;
c. Supervise the overall operation of the club;
d. Defend the constitution and by-laws of the club and the rights and prerogative of the
members; Cast his/her votes on questions that result in a tie;
e. Accept donations for and on behalf of the club; and
f. Represent the club to any event that requires its presence.
Section 3. The Vice President. The Vice President shall have the following duties and
functions:
a. Assume the President in case of vacancy of the position of the Vice President.
b. Preside over meetings in the absence of the President;
c. Assume any duties as may be assigned by the club.
Section 4.The Secretary. The Secretary shall have the following duties and functions:
a. Take the minutes of the meeting; and
b. Prepare the necessary communications for the members whenever the meeting will be
held.
Section 5. The Treasurer. The Treasurer shall have the following duties and functions:
a. Act as the custodian of all the funds and properties of the club;
b. Head the finance committee of the club;
c. c. Prepare and submit financial report; and
d. Keep and safeguard the fund, books of records of the Club;
Section 6. The Auditor. The Auditor shall have the following duties and functions:
a. Examine and audit the books and records and to certify to the correctness ;and
b. Examine and audit the financial report of the Treasurer;
Section 7. The Public Information Officer. The PIO shall have the following duties:
a. Shall head the Public Information Committee of the club;
b. Handle all matters involving the public relations of the club; and
c. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Section 8. The Year level Representative. The Year level representative shall have the duty to
officially represent the year level he/she represented during the officers meeting and to inform
his/her constituent concerning matters of the club.
ARITCLE VI – PRIVILEGES
There shall be at least two general meetings in an academic year. Other meetings may be
called as deemed necessary.
ARITCLE VIII – FINANCES
The membership fee shall be determined during the first general meeting approved by
two-thirds of voting members of the SAMAFIL. The SAMAFIL may likewise require additional
fees from the members and raise funds from other sources, as agreed upon by the majority of
the members.
This Constitution shall take effect upon ratification by at least two-thirds of all voting
members of the Samahan.
This Constitution and By Laws shall be amended by at least two-thirds vote of all voting
members of the Samahan.
