PRE ASSESSMENT

Social Studies- the study of social relationships and the functioning of society and usually made up of
courses in history, governments, economics, civics, sociology, geography and anthropology.

EXERCISE 1

1.For me one reason is lack of social studies teacher and makes the growing feeling of insecurity for the
future of children. That's why we need a good social studies teacher. Because unlike other subject it
seems to be more secure because these branches open many avenues which is not the case in social
studies. Social Studies is the study about our past and the economic condition of our country, the
political system that we our bound to and the sorroundings that we live in. So history repeats itself, if
one student does not receive a broad view of cultures throughout time they will get the wrong
impression of the stability of their own, and worse. That's why we need more good social studies
teacher in our country.

2.The Commission on Higher Education(CHED) is the key agency mandated to promote quality Higher
education and to ensure accessibility to those who may not be able to afford it. CHED ensures that the
country's human capital stays competitive by upholding academic freedom and fostering intellectual
growth.

EXERCISE 2

During my elementary days one of my favorite subject is Sibika at Kultura, I remembered that I am very
much excited during this subject.I also got the highest grade from our class. Study about history of
human, that we are the highest form af animals.I also learned many places and their culture. Sibika at
Kultura sounds very much interesting from me. During high school days I noticed that social sciences is
very broad subject and I find it difficult, I realized that it is the understanding of the real world, places,
cultures, events, politics, law and many more.Then it is confusing why I choose these subject as my
major now.The reason is that I wanna face my social anxiety.

POST ASSESSMENT AND FEEDBACK

Social Studies education is essential in supporting students to interact with difference within
communities. So I learned that the primary purpose is to help young people make informed and
reasoned decisions for the public good as citizen of a culturally diverse, democratic society in an
interdependent world.
