Notes:: Supporting Beam Supported Column

This document provides calculations to check the structural integrity of a beam-to-column connection under two loading cases. It verifies that the connection has sufficient capacity for the shear, bearing, tension and weld sizes. All checks show the connection is adequate for the 39.54kN and 85.07kN shear loads in case (i), and the 226.2kN shear load in case (ii), which is 40% of the beam's shear capacity. Material properties, bolt properties, and section properties are also provided.
