1. Look under What We Do.

Read what CC is about and write (do not copy and paste)
an overview of the CC purpose.

A: CC’s purpose is to give people the ability of an organization that grants you a free,
simple, and standardized way that allows you to have copyright permissions to
educational works along with the power to copy, distribute, and make use of those
works.

2. How can you find CC images on the website?

A: You go to “Search for CC images” located at the top of the site.

3. Find the How to give attribution page of the website. Read through the page. Define
an attribution then copy & paste the exemplar they give for a proper attribution.

A: An attribution is the ascribing of a work to a particular person.

You can use CC-licensed materials as long as you follow the license conditions. One
condition of all CC licenses is attribution. How you attribute authors of the CC works will
depend on whether you modify the content, if you create a derivative, if there are multiple
sources, etc.

4. Identify the ways in which the exemplar provides attribution to the original creator of
the work.

The ways in which the exemplar provides attribution to the original creator of the work is when it
says “How you attribute authors of the CC works will depend on whether you modify the
content, if you create a derivative, if there are multiple sources, etc”.

5. Complete a search for an CC image. Copy and Paste or Insert the image on your
doc. Provide a proper attribution to the image.
