This public relations proposal, prepared by Harley Charlebois, has been created exclusively for

use by Proforma Promographix.


EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Public Relations can and will invigorate Proforma Promographix’s engagement with potential customers,
vendors and employees. Proforma Promographix has reached a great height from the dedication and
talent of their owners and employees. However, in our fast-evolving world, even stellar owners and
employees can become overcrowded by crafty competitors using both digital and traditional PR tactics
to gain more exposure than previously accessible.

The reinvigoration of media relations, employee and customer engagement, and branding concepts will
allow Proforma Promographix to grow exponentially. In addition to growing business, the
implementation of these PR tactics will create a foundation that will far outlast the duration of my
internship with Proforma Promographix.

SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
The road ahead may seem long, but it is paved for success. Everything that I have seen for Proforma
Promographix speaks of the owners’ and employees’ talent and dedication. There is a clear can do-will
do attitude, a key message that if your customers want it then you have vendors that will do it. The
foundation and credibility are there, all that is left is to spread the word.

There are two main weaknesses that I have seen. The first is an absence of a PR plan and tactics to
improve visibility. One of the first steps to creating an effective PR plan will be to work together in
defining the company’s key messages and values then creating a marketing concept that will make those
messages and values clear to your audience. The second, it is easy to rely too little or too much upon
word-of-mouth. The trick is to design a physical presence to spread word-of-mouth locally while utilizing
digital platforms to grow business nationally.

GOALS
1. Noticeable rise in engagement.
2. Development and implementation of effective branding and public relations tools.
3. Provide PR tools for success for new and existing reps

OBJECTIVES
1. Website content creation
a. Company websites are frequented by potential customers, vendors and reps. The
current website is very well done but could be working more in your favor. By
restructuring and adding additional content the website can be used as a more effective,
multipurpose tool of engagement.
2. Social Media development, content creation and upkeep.
a. Social media is an ever growing, changing opportunity for networking. By reinvigorating
your current platforms as well as engaging with additional platforms the company will
find a wider audience. This potential audience would include new and small business
and potential reps. Having relevant and up to date social media will also help with the
various algorithms that determine how likely your company is to appear in the top
results of a search.
3. Local engagement
a. Attending local events creates a physical presence which can generate business and
networking opportunities beyond that which can be achieved through social media
alone.
4. New employee engagement and enrichment
a. Outgoing and hardworking spirits are ripe for the picking in this day and age, especially
when they have the added benefits of flexibility and telecommuting. By increasing your
company’s online presence and local engagement finding prospective reps will be
easier. By providing new and existing employees with resources and reference guides
they will be better able to succeed.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is wide and the PR tactics for engaging with small and new businesses are different
from those used to establish relationships with large businesses. By having a variety of PR tactics
available you will be better equipped to engage with your target audience in the best way possible.
