I began my internship in January 20 and finished on April 30. I began to teach my class on February, but it was just taking
control the class without teachers; teacher was not free because of workshop. During when I was doing my intern, I even done with
subject course outline and I had learnt to create questions for tests and quiz on google class. It was worthy and pleasant to have intern in
Ekamai International School. Normally, I went to every class every week for assisting and teaching, there would be schedule like I
went to Math class on Monday, Health and Science class on Tuesday, Language Art class on Wednesday, and I just went to each
different class for two section on Thursday and Friday. I did learn so many different skills like classroom management skills. As there
are four sessions, when I plan one lesson, I had practiced and improved to teach another three classes too. The thing that really
surprised me after I started teaching is how difficult it really is to teach. Every day I am asking myself if I am really making a
difference or not and it's really hard to handle on how well I am doing.

I came to school at 7 am to meet with my homeroom teacher. Then she explained me what I need to do
for this morning and the rest of the day. Firstly, I helped to arrange the word sheet in each of the basket for the
students. As I got the schedule to assist in library, I went to Elementary library to assist the students. Then I
came back to my room in another period and helped language art teacher with punching holes in student’s
exercise sheets. After that I had chance to observe the homeroom teacher. It was middle of the class when I
observed, so what I learned was checking attendance and checking chapter test. She just let students to mark
their answers their self with red pen. Then students need to show teacher what they had marked. Then teacher
explained and reminded the chapter quiz and homework for next week. Then she let students to do classwork.
After I observed in homeroom teacher, I went to observe Math class. As teacher is learning online, teacher need
to wait a little while for every student. When she is waiting for other students to be active, she let students to read
today lesson and she also explained why she want them to read; she wants students to preview the lesson before
lesson, so that they will have some idea about what they are going to learn today. And teacher suggest to make
check point and review for the quiz. Then she checked yesterday classwork. Students need to open their screen,
so that when teacher check for attendance, they have to raise their hand to notify that they are present. Afterward
she taught about ordered pairs and graph patterns. The way she taught was students centered learning. She uses
questions and answer strategy to interact with student. After that I helped teacher to type the questions for the
quiz.

What I do
What I learn
Teacher use Plus Portals to provide homework calendar, lesson coverage and what time students will
have quiz or test. It prevents excuses from students.
Teacher should “Do what you say” so that students will respect the teacher because they know who they
can fool around.
Language Art class
o teacher use Socrative.com to give the quiz and tests. It’s easier to make assessment; it can see
everything what students are doing and teacher can monitor the students to log out when the time
is up.
o teacher also review how to log in Socrative.com for exam
o To be able to solve the conflict among students, teacher provide open discussion and let students
to express their hatred and dissatisfactory. Then teacher deliver the solution for the students.
Math class
o Teacher always care about the student works
o And teacher has strict rules for taking quiz
Teacher don’t allow students to take quiz if they don’t finish the classwork
Drawing timetable
o I realized that drawing time table for all the class is hard to arrange
o I just learned how to arrange the subject around the table, so that main subect can take place.

I have learned how to be firm with students who misbehave in the online meeting
o Teacher should do what is right for every students
o What I learned today was one of the students disobey the rules and played the song to annoy the
whole students when teacher was out of the meeting.
o When teacher came in to meeting, he still playing the song, teacher ask this student to leave the
room. Thus students will not learn anything from today class and he is going to get zero for each
classwork in different classes too.
Another thing that I learned from today was about classroom bulletin board.
o There are different bulletin board in the classroom.
o Those are including classroom rules, behavior chart, Weekly assignment and classroom calendar
and activity bulletin board.
o What I am interesting to learn among the bulletin board was behavior chart that described with
four categories: Excellent, No recess, Warning and Parent call.
o Excellent when students are responsible, Warning, when teacher had to talk to student, No recess
when students did not do their best and Parent call when students behavior was unacceptable.
o For those categories are going to show the signal with colors like Blue card describe Excellent,
Warning is green card, No recess is yellow and parent call is red.

What I do for today was just marking tests and copying in the scoring book at homeroom teacher. I also
went to copy room for copies because next week students will come back and start face to face class. Then I
went to Health and Science class, I did same things. After that I went to Language Art class, I did the same thing
in the Math class.

Thank God it’s Friday, I did the same like Thursday, I rotate to help different subject teachers. For
today, I was just helping with scoring. I helped math teachers with making quizzes too. What I did was
rearranging the selected questions from different tests in the separate sheets.

Monday again, today is the first day I met with students because students came back for face to face
class. My homeroom teacher introduced in every session. It was nice to meet with every student. However, I felt
nervous a bit about dealing with students. What I did today was staying in my homeroom teacher and helping
her with arranging students paper which is classwork and homework paper for fourth quarter.

I had to go Math class to help teacher with marking and scoring tests. Then I observed how teacher
taught students. The way teacher instruct to students was very clear and students look understandable. She used
projector to show questions from textbook. I also was going around in the class when students were doing their
classwork and assisted who need help.

I went to Language Art class and assisted with scoring and marking. It was two different tests, so it took
me the whole days for marking. And she also marked, after students finished classwork too. It was amazing to
see that teacher can handle different tasks on time. I went around the class and check students work. And I went
to fast-forward class and manage the class to be quiet and keep doing their work. What I learned from today
was how teacher her work done in on time because she marks the tests after students were taking tests.

As today is Thursday, I rotate to help different subject teachers like first two class, I went to Math
teacher, I help with marking and scoring in the score sheet. I took control the class when students are taking
test. I learned how teacher let students to enter and leave the class. And students were taking with board which
cover their exam desks. Then students passed the papers back to front, and students arranged in numerical order.
It was very systematic. Then Third and fourth class, I went to Health class and assist with marking and copying
scores. Last two class, I was with language Art teacher and went to fast forward class to take control the
students.

Wonderful Monday, I started taking control the class because teacher had workshop and students need to
take test. Firstly, I let students inside the class by alphabetically, it was worked and I can do it in systematically
like teacher did. I explained the test instruction again. During student are taking the test, one student wants to
drink water, but the rule said they cannot go when they enter the class. I was not sure about it and I let the
student to drink water. It was the lesson I learned that I need to review the classroom rules make sure students
are following the rules.

I went to help Health and Science teacher. What I did in the class was just marking and scoring the tests
and classwork. I also took control some session when teacher was attending meeting. What I do was making
students quiet. Teacher told me to fine when they speak. Students afraid of fine too. Usually teacher wrote down
their names if they didn’t behave well.

What I did in the Math class was reviewing their tests. And I let students to choose questions which they
were struggled in exam. I found out that most students were trouble with word problems. If there were questions
with numerical form, they were doing fine with it.

I went to help Health and Science teacher. What I did in the class was giving project paper and
explaining students to do science project like drawing comic. I went around the class and explain more details
and give examples when students were not clear about the project. What I learn today was about how students
in different session misbehave in different class and which students were common.

I started teaching Science. I felt nervous when I taught the first session, but I felt better when I taught
second session. I noticed that I need to improve in making questions and I should be ready to ask questions, so
that I voice might be clear and sound. What I learnt from my teaching was students like to talk and some
students were shy to talk. There were only common students who tent to answer always. I should change my
teaching styles based on it.

I had chance to teach the proper lesson. My teaching was successful, but I need some part to change
because when I was teaching about fractions, they had learnt it in Grade 4. So when I became teaching from
basic, it caused bored for students. I had noticed at the beginning of the first session, so I had changed it for
another three sessions too. What I did was choose word problem to explain them and choose students who
rarely answer the questions. What I noticed about students was they don’t try to understand the questions and
they just want to solve and calculate.

classwork. I also took control class and what I do was giving instructions of what they need to be done in the
class like classwork and making students quiet. When they don’t know how to answer the questions, I went
around and explained. What I learnt today was, students understand more when I explained in sequences and
give examples.

What I did in my lesson today was explaining two examples of mixed fraction after asking their prior
knowledge. I was able to explain concept of mixed fraction and students were doing fine with their classwork.
However, some students who forgot what they had learnt in grade 4, they still don’t know how to solve yet, so I
went around and explain those students. I had managed the students by keeping busy with their classwork.

I taught science and health class. What I did was explaining the lesson by using inquiry questions. First
session look a bit bored because I explained too much information. However, I changed my teaching styles.
Instead of explanation I asked their opinion about the topic and lesson. Then I gave feedback for their answers
and continue the lesson. What I learn from my lesson was I should not explain a lot of information at the same
time.

questions by balancing the different types of student’s abilities.

asked their opinion about the topic and lesson. Then I gave feedback for their answers and continue the lesson.
What I learn from my lesson was I should not explain a lot of information at the same time. I should remind the
rules often because students usually forget and tent to break the rules like answering questions without raising
hand and waiting teacher’s permission.

and my teaching should be best in first session too.

to do classwork. What I learnt was I should speak loud and slow down my voice, so that my instruction will be
clear and understandable. Last two class, I was with language Art teacher and assisted with marking tests

Thursday and Friday was holiday because of teacher grading days. However, I need to come to school to
make power point. I had a lot about different lesson and I was able to plan the lesson by knowing objectives.

teacher by taking control the class as she is busy with her work. I instructed the students what they have to do in
this class and explain the questions from the classwork sheet. Last two class, I was with language Art teacher
and assisted with marking tests.

What I did in Monday was teaching Math. As I noticed students are not good at word problem. I used

What I taught in Language Art class was about expository paragraph writing. Most students had learnt in
their reading. I gave example for students to read and I explained the tips and facts about expository paragraph
based on the examples. And also I always remind the students to write the paragraph with three parts like
introduction, body and closing sentences. Teacher also gave one example of expository paragraph from their
read which students already read. That’s what I learnt today from my teaching and suggestion from my teacher.

I just went to the class for assisting and marking the test and classwork. And I continued doing
PowerPoint for teacher.
Date: 19-23 & 26-30 /04/2021
When the school began on Monday, students were studying online and I was not able to teach. I only
taught language Art as the last lesson for writing. And I assisted my homeroom teacher with copying scores on
the scoring folder. Then most of the time, I was with Math teacher. I assisted he with creating lesson format in
the google classroom for Chapter tests and quizzes. And also I assisted with subject outline for next years. I
learned about how to create lesson coverage and rules for the classroom. Then I assisted with downloading math
materials from the online textbook like tests and quizzes. The last things I did was copy the student’s test scores
in scoring sheets. I had learned a lot about creating google classroom tests and how to share with students and
what we can include in the subject outlines.
