Rubric

The rubric assesses reflective writing skills across five levels from 1-5. For a level 5 score, the reflection would demonstrate a thorough understanding of the prompt and subject with specific examples, insightful connections, sophisticated writing, and mastery of conventions. A level 3 reflection shows a basic understanding with some examples and connections between ideas but basic language usage. A level 1 paper shows little understanding of the prompt and fails to provide examples or adhere to basic writing conventions.
