What is the opportunity?


AWS CloudFront is a fast Content Delivery Network (CDN) service that securely delivers
data, videos (Live and Video on Demand), applications, and APIs to customers globally with
low latency, high transfer speeds, all within a developer-friendly environment.
This role will include all aspects of the service experience; designing and building the
software, managing its operations, and delivering on customer performance and scale

‘The Amazon CloudFront engineers provide a deep-dive into optimization and measurement
techniques used to continually improve the delivery of your content’

If you are interested in living every day at the forefront of high scale and cutting edge
distributed technologies, you will enjoy growing Amazon CloudFront!

Experience
 You have experience with one or more of the following - C/C++, Python, Java, Go, Scala
 A good understanding of web services technologies like SOAP, HTTP, XSD and REST
 Experience building large-scale web services and distributed systems backed by cloud
services (AWS or similar)
 Deep knowledge of Internet Protocols
 You are passionate about Backend Development and would like to learn/work with C/C++
and Rust!

Is there a remote option?


This opportunity with AWS would require you to be in/relocate to Dublin. Given the
current restrictions/difficulties, we are on hand to provide guidance around this. Amazon
will provide relocation assistance should you be successful.

Is English required?
Yes. AWS operates globally through the English language, and a working proficiency is
required. However, please note that AWS Dublin has Amazonians from over 100
nationalities, most of which English is their second language!

What is the Salary range?


For now, I cannot give a definitive figure on salary. We offer a competitive package which will
include additional benefits to be discussed at offer stage.
