1.1 Oil company mode and Maintenance mode

Oil company mode

In oil company mode (Password default: 71777554), the same processes as user registration mode
can be accessed.
The totalizer can only be changed while in oil company mode.
This function prevents unlawful changing of the totalizer. Change the password after saving settings.

Maintenance mode
In maintenance mode (Password default: 71777551), the same processes as oil company mode
excluding oil company mode password change can be preformed, and there is a restriction on
changing registered content.
Changing the password regularly is recommended to prevent unlawful activities.

Keep the oil company and maintenance mode passwords safe to prevent unlawful activities.
Contents are saved even when memory is initialized.
Be careful, as processing is not possible if the password is forgotten after it has been changed.

3. Notes On Registration

3.1 Notes on installation

When installing/registering the dispenser of overseas specifications, first register the “country code”
(“30” in the maintenance mode).
Setting the “country code” initializes the applicable items given in the registration list to the data for
each country. Then, perform processing according to the following flowchart.
(For information about default values for each country, refer to “8. List of default values.”)

3.2 Notes on the use of the remote control

You can use the remote control when nozzles are hung and fueling permission is not given from POS.
You cannot execute processing on the front side and the rear side simultaneously.
Therefore, for multi-dispensers, you need to perform registration for each side separately.
Note that, when data is managed commonly for both sides, registration on one side changes the set
values for the other side.

(2) Turn off the power and then on again.

If you do not do the above operation, the registered values do not take effect on the side opposite to the
registration side.

7-26
This Dispenser employs the electronic calibration (adjustment on instrumental error). When installation is
completed, calibration and sealing are required.

The calibration, formerly performed with the conventional dispensers by operating the handle of the piston
meter, is to be performed by electric means.
Adjustment value should be set for each nozzle (meter) and the tolerance can be made in the 5.00%±
0.05% increments.
The counts for measured quantity should be adjusted within 97.50% to 102.50% against the pulses input
from the meter.
The adjusted value with the displayed counts should be registered in plus or minus percentage against the
input pulse counts.

The followings are the principle of the adjustment.

Registered value (%) Direction for correction Number of input pulses Displayed counts
97.50 Minus 97.50L
: :
100.00 10,000 100.00L
: :
102.50 Plus 102.50L

As the instrumental error cannot be determined to be zero even when the registered value is 100.00%, the
calibration and sealing are required at the time of installation.
The initial value is set at the factory shipment.

The following is the example with the adjustment value of 99.35% for 10.00L dispensed.

Before adjusting instrumental errors After adjusting instrumental errors

Procedures for registering adjustment value
Adjustment values are registered by using the remote control device in its maintenance mode. For
prevention of the improper operation, the registration is available only by the following
procedures.
zPreparing for calibration
Measure the instrumental errors by each nozzle. (The changes in the adjustment to be obtained
from the displayed volume and the actual volume dispensed: by 0.05% increments)
zAdjusting on instrumental errors

Turn power of dispenser OFF.

Break seal.

Turn power of dispenser ON.

Push seal SW.

Press E key on remote control before entering maintenance

password to start registration for maintenance mode.

Select adjustment value settings for item 79.

(Enter 79 and press "ENTER".)

Set adjustment value by each nozzle. (Add previously

obtained changes to current adjustment value.)

Press E key of remote control to close maintenance mode.

Perform dispensing to confirm instrumental errors.

NO Are instrumental
errors acceptable?

YES

Turn power of dispenser OFF.

put under seal.

Turn power of dispenser ON.

Ready for operation.

7-28
Calculation for instrumental error adjustment value

1. Read out the current adjustment value for each nozzle and enter it in records.
2. Measure the actually dispensed volume by each nozzle and obtain the new adjustment value by the
following formula:

Displayed counts (after adjustment) x Actual volume (before adjustment) x Current adjustment value
New adjustment value=
Displayed counts (before adjustment) x Actual volume (after adjustment)

Displayed counts (before adjustment): Value displayed on the counter when measured for the actually dispensed.
Displayed counts (after adjustment): Value to be displayed on the counter after the adjustment.
Actual volume (before adjustment): Measured actually dispensed volume.
Actual volume (after adjustment): Volume of the actually dispensed and to be so displayed on the counter after
adjustment.

Example with the current adjustment value=99.50%

When displayed counts (before adjustment) = 10.00L, and actual volume (before adjustment) = 10.01L,
When actual volume (after adjustment) = to be 10.00L (for the instrument error to be 0%)

10.00 x 10.01 x 99.50

New adjustment value= = 99.599 → 99.60
10.00 x 10.00

3. Register 99.60 for the adjustment value.
