CE013 Plate 3 Elevation Plan
CE013 Plate 3 Elevation Plan
After enhancing and improving your lot plan and floor plan
1. You may start drafting your elevation plan from a simple horizontal line representing the required
ground level or floor level and plotting vertical lines representing the required distances of the
essential features to be plotted for the particular elevation plan. Plot the remaining details on the
plan while considering the extra details required i.e. dimensions, labels. This requires creative
visuals of your planned designs while drafting them in an impromptu manner.
2. Another way to start your drafting is to place the floor plan directly above the space where the
elevation is to be drawn. The exterior walls to be represented by the elevation should be facing
down toward the elevation.
3. Project all points down to the free space.
4. Indicate the bottom level of the building and draw a horizontal line. Now measure all the required
vertical heights, ceilings heights, floor heights, etc. from this reference point.
5. Remove construction lines and determine if changes are desired in the over-all design.
