to coordinate all non-defense related deployment and ac-
tivities related to blockchain technology within the Fed-
eral Government.

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Blockchain Technology


5 Coordination Act of 2021’’.

1 SEC. 2. ESTABLISHMENT OF NATIONAL BLOCKCHAIN TECH-

2 NOLOGY COORDINATION OFFICE.

3 There is established within the Department of Com-


4 merce a National Blockchain Technology Coordination Of-
5 fice (in this Act referred to as the ‘‘Office’’) which shall
6 be organized and led by a Director, who shall be appointed
7 by the Secretary not later than 60 days after the date
8 of enactment of this Act.
