General Notes:
1. Mill Tolerance OD Tolerance class D1, Thickness Tolerance class T1 according to EN ISO
1127.
2. Joint Efficiency 1.0 WLD, 1.0 SMLS
The joint efficiency Z for the longitudinal weld is regulated in the design
standards. Z=1.0 is achieved with 100% Eddy Current or 100% Radiographic
testing. This means that the strength of the weld is equal to that of the base
material. Welded pipes delivered to EN 10217-7 have a weld factor of 1.0.
3. As a minimum the following non-destructive testing shall be performed: visual, dimensional, hydrostatic.
4. As a minimum among the following non-destructive tests shall be performed: dye-penetrant, ferrite testing,
or ultrasonic testing.
5. All welds shall be cleaned by pickle paste and passivated, to remove all heat marks.
6. Piping systems used in Sea Water applications shall receive chemical passivation.

Branch Connection Notes:

1. This table is intended to give general indication only. The need for reinforcing pads or pipe thickness increase
shall be verified according to the design code.
2. When customer specifications prohibit stub-in connections for branch connections, it is acceptable to use
reducing tees, or tees & reducers. When this is the case, the preference is to use reducing tees first, and tees and
reducers as a last option.
