“Here’s how it
is!”

The success of any business undertaking may depend on the principles,


tools and techniques may be employed in the business. For an entrepreneur to
put up a business, it is necessary to undergo a business or industry analysis
Also, from simple to complex business organization, the number of business owner,
the capitalization, the resources, the legal requirements differ. Assets and liabilities also
need to be considered.

For business classification based on its worth of business assets, the following are
the classification in the Philippine context.

Classification Worth of Business Assets


1. Micro-business Below Php 1,500,001
2. Small scale business Php 1,500,001 – 15,000,000
3. Medium scale business Php 15,000,001 – 60,000,000
4. Large scale business Assets exceeding Php 60,000,000

For any of these business organization mentioned above, all business must be
registered with the appropriate government agencies. For Sole Proprietorships and
Partnerships, 100% must be owned and capitalized by Filipinos. For corporations, at least
60% of the outstanding capital stock must be owned by a Filipino Citizen. Business activity
conducted may be within the major sectors of industry, service, practice of profession, or
operation of tourism-related and agri-businesses.

The choice of which form of business organization may be a personal preference of


the owner, based on his objectives, his available resources and the scope of operations
(Dinio, et. al, 2017).

manage it? Please be guided with the following questions.

2. What is the goods/services will you provide?
3. How much is your capitalization?
4. How will you run or operate your business?
5. Who will manage your business?

B. Business Inquiry.
Following the IATF Protocol, within your community, interview a
business owner of any goods/services provider. Be guided with the questions
below. Write your answer in a yellow paper. Use any formal format of writing.
This is a 20-points assessment. Make your own Rubrics and grade your own
output. (Note: Your output will be used for the next topic discussion.)

1. What is his business objectives?


2. How did his business started?
3. What are his ways of managing his business?
4. What problems did he encountered relative to his business?
5. How did he keep up with his business despite the pandemic
situation at present?
6. What are the advantages and disadvantages of his business?
