Credits: 1

L0T0P2

Course Objectives:
The objectives of the course are:
1. To provide students with a practical and hands-on experience with common
bioinformatics tools and databases. Students will be trained in the basic theory and
application of programs used for database searching, protein and DNA sequence analysis,
prediction of protein function, and building phylogenetic trees..
2. Through practical exercises, the course aims to give students a basic competences in the
use of bioinformatical tools. The course emphasizes the the learning of bioinformatical
tools in light of the student's knowledge of molecular biology..
