Allowance is an amount of tax free income from the income a person is allowed to earn or
receive each year. - For 2011-12 the basic Personal Allowance is £7,475.Tax Code Source:
This is the source from which the employees tax code is derived, for example a P45 form,
P9X form, or P6 form.Tax Basis : Cumulative basis: The amount of tax deducted is
proportionately divided for all the pay periods from the total amount of tax to be paid to the
tax office in the year. Ex: For monthly payroll, tax deducted is 1/12th of the total amount of
tax to be paid to tax office in the year Week 1 / Month 1: The tax deducted in the pay
period is based only on the amount of gross pay received during the same pay period. Any
amount of money earned so far in the tax year is ignored.

P45 is not yet received from previous Employer then submit Form P46 P46(Expat) : Used if
Employee seconded to work in the UK whilst remaining employed by an overseas employer

leaving the organization. Pensioner Details are updated in case of Employee retirement
and he is eligible to get pension payments from the Employer
9. 9. Infotype 0070 – Court OrdersCourt Order A court order is the decision of a Judge, or
Registrar Magistrate as entered in the records of the court. Infotype 0070 record is to be
created when Employer receives a court order pertaining to an Employee.Types of Court
Orders Maintenance Payments Student Loan Payments Debt PaymentsDifferent court
order types are configured in table V_T5G16 9
10. 10. Infotype 0070 – Court OrdersMonetary values These details are given on the court
order. The information is used by the payroll to make the deductions from the employee’s
pay. Standard Payment : Standard amount that will be deducted from the employees
monetary earnings (/141 – Arrestable Earnings). Protected Earnings: Sum that the court
has declared the debtor may retain before any deductions can be made. Total Sum: Total
amount an employee should pay for this specific court order. Payments will cease once this
total sum has been reached. A total sum should not be specified for a maintenance charge,
for example, since this is a standard payment that should continue indefinitely. The payroll
takes protected earnings into account and automatically keeps a total of arrears and arrears
of protected earnings. For this reason, no retroactive accounting is required for court order
processing.

12. 12. Infotype 0084 – Statutory Sick Pay Control Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is paid to
qualifying employees who are unable to work because of illness. Infotype 0084 is to record
Employee’s data relevant to SSP. Based on this infotype, Payroll determines whether an
employee is entitled to SSP and for which days. The weekly rate of SSP for days of
sickness from 6 April 2011 is £81.60. 12
13. 13. Infotype 0084 – Statutory Sick Pay Control Contd…Qualifying day pattern Qualifying
days are the days for which Statutory Sick Pay is paid. They should be those days which an
employee is scheduled to work. In case company has one QDP for majority of employees,
individual records are not necessary. In such case, that QDP can be set as default via
feature GBQDP, so that it applies to all employees without SSP Control records.Period of
incapacity to work (PIW) PIW is a period of four consecutive days (working/ non working
days), when the employee is not at work because of sickness. First 3 days of PIW are
called Waiting days. SSP is payable from the first qualifying day after Waiting days. SSP
is only payable if there is a PIW.
14. 14. Infotype 0086 – SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP Exclusions Infotype 0086 is to enter the reason for
excluding an employee from SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP. An excluded employee has no
entitlement to the relevant statutory absence payment. Forms SSP1, SMP1, SAP1, SPP1
are issued respectively for SSP1, SMP, SAP, SPP in case of exclusions All the Exclusion
reasons are maintained in table V_T5G2F with indicators for each of SSP/SMP/SAP/SPP. 14
15. 15. Infotype 0088 – SMP/SAP/SPP Infotype 0088 is to maintain the relevant data for SMP/
SAP/ SPP processing for an employee. Infotype SMP/SAP/SPP GB (0088) is divided into
four subtypes, - SAP: Statutory Adoption Pay - SMP: Statutory Maternity Pay - SPPA:
Statutory Paternity Pay (adoption) - SPPB: Statutory Paternity Pay (birth)Subtype SAP

17. 17. Infotype 0442 – Company Car Infotype 0442 record stores all relevant company car
information for the employee. It provides Class 1A National Insurance contributions for
payroll and the P11D report
18. 18. Infotype 0442 – Company Car Contd… Any capital contribution made by the employee
towards the purchase of the car or accessories can be deducted from the price. Benefit
Indicator determines if the taxable benefit value should be automatically calculated for the
company car. Feature CARCB determines whether or not this indicator should be
automatically set.
19. 19. Infotype 0570 – Offshore Tax Offshore for Great Britain : - Isle of Man – IM - Guernsey
and Alderney – GG - Jersey - JE Infotype 0570 is to record tax data for Offshore

20. 20. Infotype 0571 – Offshore Social Security Infotype 0571 is to record an employees
Social Security details for resident and non-resident employees working in Jersey or
Guernsey and Alderney. Isle of Man has the same National Insurance system as Great
Britain, and hence IT 0069 is used 20
21. 21. Infotype 0757 – Tax Credit Tax credits are payments from the government. Working
Tax Credit: Employee can claim WTC in case of low income. WTC is based on the hours of
Paid work. Child Tax Credit : EE can claim CTC if he/she has to support children under the
age of 16 - or under 20 (If in full-time education or approved training)- IT 0757 is to record
WTC details of Employees as given in the Tax Credit Award Notice sent by HMRC. Daily
Rate : Specified on the start notice by HMRC An employee can have only one daily rate for
WTC payments in the same time period
22. 22. Infotype 0874 – Predetermination PAYE & NIC Adjustment Data related to Tax / NIC
amount adjustments and the Reasons for those adjustments are stored in IT0874
Adjustment Amount : - Difference amount of Actual Tax / NIC amount payable and the
amount that the system calculates for the employee. - Adjustment amount needs to be
calculated manually This information is used for audit purposes. 22
