Activity 1.5 “Healthy Atmosphere”

Direction: Read an article about the effectiveness of a cleaning agent in reducing the
occurrence of diseases. Write your short opinion on a separate sheet of paper.

Cleaning agents are substance used to remove dirt, dust, stains, bad smells and clutter on
surfaces. Purpose of cleaning agent includes health, beauty, removing offensive odor and
avoiding the spread of dirt and contaminants to oneself and others. A lot of article contains
about the effectiveness of a cleaning agent in reducing the occurrence of diseases. That’s why
try to read it and understand.

In my opinion cleaning agent plays an essential role in our daily lives at home, schools and
even in the office. It is really effective in removing soils, germs and other contaminants. They
also prevent the spread of infectious diseases and control allergens such as mold and dust
which helping us to stay healthy. However, in my research I found out that tested antibacterial
product did not reduce the risk for symptoms of viral infectious diseases in household that
include essentially health persons. So I think that this does not preclude the potential
contribution of products to reducing symptoms of bacterial diseases at home.
