I. OBJECTIVES:
 Identify the computer hardware devices (Input and Output)
 Differentiate Input devices and Output devices
 Name various input and output devices and its uses.

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic: Input and Output Devices
Reference: TLEIE6-0j-7
Materials: powerpoint presentation, computer, pictures

III.PROCEDURE:
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Review:
Identify the different computer devices shown.

2. Motivation:
Provide the class a jigsaw puzzle. Let the pupils solve the puzzle.

What object was formed when you put the puzzle pieces together?
What are the uses of it?

B. Lesson Proper
1. Show the different parts of the computer. Have the pupils name each part as you show it.
2. Have a clear discussion about Input and Output Devices. Discuss that input and output devices are
HARDWARE parts of the computer.
• Input Devices- sends information to a computer system for processing. Input
devices only allow for input of data to a computer.
• Output Devices- reproduces or displays the results of that processing. Output
devices only receive the output of data from another device.
3. Give examples of computer parts for input devices and output devices. Tell them the function and
uses of each part.

C. Generalization
1. What is the two parts of Hardware Devices?
2. What is input devices?
3. What is output devices?
4. Name three input and output devices.
D. Application (Group Activity)

Teacher will post a name of computer parts on the board. Each group will segregate into input and
output devices by writing its name on the paper provided in their group. Each group will be given 3 minutes
to finish the activity.

A. Put all the listed parts of the computer below on the appropriate box. Identify the parts if it
is input or output devices.
