Duties and Responsibilities:
 Regional responsibility for the design and implementation of FTTH projects.
 Evaluate each Project Proposal, Review Network Plans design parameters, BOQ if it
complies the UPS (Unified Pricing System) prior to Project Acceptance
 Conduct Site Survey of Cable routes prior to the design and Implementation
 Design and Layout subdivision Plans, Splitter Locations, Fiber Pick-up Points and Prepare
 BOQ and BOM, Power Budget Calculations, for FTTH Engineering Design Project.
 Monitor and supervise technicians and sub-contractors FTTH Splitter installations and OSP
pulling techniques to prevent improper installation
 Participate in site Coordination, Staking and Construction meetings as required.
 Responsible for scheduling FTTH teams daily deployments
 Responsible in Processing Permits in every FTTH project Areas
 Perform aerial and underground fiber optic splicing using Fiber Fusion Splicer machine
 Used Visual Fault Locator (VFL), Signal light source (SLS) Fluke, Power Meter and OTDR
for testing, documenting and troubleshooting.
 Documenting all fiber according to the splicing & fiber patching, Splitter Assignments
that we made from CO (Central Office) to LCP (Local Convergence Points) and LCP to
NAP (Network Access Points), Fiber to the building (FTTB)
 Responsible in preparing all document needed by the client (PLDT) like site As-Built

 Installation and termination of Fiber Optic Cables 2-12 core to patch panels
 Perform Multi-pair and UTP cable installation and termination on both ends.
 Perform Cable Crimping (Copper) and Splicing (Fiber Optics)
 Perform patching works (copper and fiber optics) from active switch to patch panel
 Installing network routers, switches, Zone Director, WIFI, CCTV camera and other active
equipment.
 Perform Cable Testing and Commissioning of network points with Fluke Networks DSP-
4300 and DTX 1800
 Monitor and supervise technician cable installation techniques, cable dressing and
labeling to prevent improper installation
 Rectify Telecommunication LAN, WAN, Wireless Access Points, CCTV problems related to
Structured Cabling (Copper and Fiber Optic Networks) and provide quick solution
