As a country with a long tradition so German cultural features are not mixed
with any other country. People, language and traditions are what makes the culture
unique. Additionally, Germany is well known due to the place of thinkers and
poets. The culture of Germany has been molded throughout history as a crucial
portion of The Holy Roman Empire. And later, it has been enriched because of the
stable economy it had.
Whereas today, Germany is home to 82.2 million people including Germans and
minorities of other nationalities that respect each other, and together make
Germany a country of values, unique celebrations, and customs.
Berlin is its capital, but Hamburg, Munich and Cologne are also among the main
cities of Germany. It is estimated that the average woman in Germany lives around
83 years, while the average man lives 79 years.
Apart from this, Germans are known to drink too much beer and are very punctual
and hardworking which is very much true. Moreover, it is also estimated that the
unemployment rate quite low in Germany because of which people get attracted to
the country from all over the world.
1.Language
Over 95% of the residents of Germany speak the German language. However, the
German state has recognized four minority languages, which are the Upper and
Lower Sorbian, Romani, Danish as well as North and Saterland Frisian.
Nowadays, German people usually wear western dresses. For business purposes,
females and males wear simple suits with shirts in dark colors. However, every
region has its traditional costume which differs from each other. For example, men
in Bavaria wear leather trousers that are short (above the knee) and women wear a
dress having a blouse, bodice, apron and a full skirt. Moreover, you can observe
people wearing this kind of costumes during festivals or carnivals.

Germany has a large percentage of people who are Christians accounting for
nearly 70% of citizens from which 29% of the people are Catholics. Moreover, the
Muslim minority also lives in Germany which accounts for 4.4% of total people.
However, in Germany, 36% of people do not have any religion.

Germany has a very rich history which is evident from its diverse and rich culture.
It has many palaces, cathedrals, castles and different monuments that conveys the
historical stories of German origin. Moreover, the roman bridges, spas, and
Amphitheaters are the fragment of ancient civilization and architecture in
Germany.
