SSM & MSM downloading procedure after an upgrade in R10.0

After upgrading in SJ1.410.49.a and with the RUNTEL done, you must update the IP Touch Security
boxes (MSM, SSM) as follows:
1 Check that the version 3.3.03 for bin_SM or 3.3.07 for bin_SM2 is managed in mgr.
2 Enter the config.BT command.
3 Reboot (with Off/On button) each SSM and MSM box to allow the downloading of the new
binary 3.3.03 for bin_SM or 3.3.07 for bin_SM2 (the config.BT file has been modified to take
in account the IP Touch Security in network feature. This enhancement is available only from the
version 1.6.02).
Notes
− If the system is duplicated, it should be better to stop the Stand-By CPU before installing the Main
CPU.
− Encryption in network: For the link encryption (Inter node link) of SJ1.410.49.a installations,
generate the file config_BT.cfg at each activation or un-activation of the link encryption.

4.2.2 Migration with SSM & MSM boxes in version 1.4.xx, 1.6.01, 2.x.0x
After upgrading in SJ1.410.49.a and with the RUNTEL done, you must update the IP Touch Security

• or re-generate the Config_BT.cfg file.
3 Check that each SSM and MSM box has been downloaded with the new version:
enter the info –v command (to be entered for each box).
Note
To connect from the CS to the active MSM, you must mandatory use the –b option to indicate the CS
physical address.

− R9.1: I1.605.12 up to I1.605.15
− R10.0 : Up to j1.410.37

With some support conditions, we have now fit back the 4760i option as of:
− R9.0: H1.301.41
− R9.1: I1.605.16
− R10.0 : J1.410.38.c
The reintroduction of 4760i is done with following support conditions:
• Usage is reserved for pre-installation of PCX under Business Partner control and should not be
used by End customer.
• No improvement is done or planned.
• No security update will be done (as stated in point 1, the 4760i tool is not designed for
production environment and end customer usage).
• No update to support latest Windows OS or Java version is planned.
• Any minor and major issue which could be considered as rendered by other tool will be
rejected.
• This concerns for instance: graphical view of Device key management, backup
• 4760i is mainly used to inject mass data through a grid management.
End customer who needs to use a graphical interface to manage its PCX must be equipped of 4760
software.
Note
To make easier the launching of one or several 4760i client version, use this method:
− Install the related java version used by 4760i.
− Install 4760i software on your PC (4760iClient.exe), you will get the c:\4760i folder.
− Rename it as c:\4760i_R9.1 for instance.
− Copy c:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_12 folder to
c:\4760i_R9.1\lib\ext\jre15
− Edit c:\4760i_R9.1\lib\ext\runconfig.bat
− Change the startup line :
%START% ..javaw.exe …
by
%START% jre15\bin\javaw.exe
This way:
− You can host several java versions on your PC and have a dedicated java for 4760i usage.
− You can install several 4760i versions and use one at a time.
− You have a better performance of the 4760i application.

5.3 Bad translation from CPU (Release 7) to CS2 (Release 10) with IPphones.
− when moving database from CPU in release R7 (or previous) to CS2 R10 with IP phones, 1st free
Shelf is created for IP phones (virtual shelf) and 2nd for shifting CR0.
− this is not correct and should be the opposite as with AS, VM, BS.
First workaround: Use an AS or a VM to do the translation.
Second workaround: if first workaround cannot be used, hot fix on CS2 (files eqtmove.start and
cvmao) is available on request to Technical Support.

6. NEW FEATURES AVAILABLE ON RELEASE 10.0

For more information, refer to the updated System documentation.

6.1 From J1.410.38.c version

6.1.1 SIP-Trunking : Diversion information
Description: Parameter available for SIP-Trunking, in order to offer the choice to use either
History-Info header, or Diversion header to provide diversion information, if available, in
an outbound INVITE.
Management: new supplementary parameter “Diversion Info to provide through” with
values “History-Info” and “Diversion” is added in the path Mgr->SIP->SIP Ext Gateway. The default
value is “History-Info”.

6.1.2 SIP Protocol adaptations (100rel management)

Description: There was an existing parameter “RFC 3262 force used”, which mainly allowed to
provide the 100Rel parameter as required or supported, for both outbound and inbound calls.

2 new parameters have been added in external Gateways to manage separately outbound and
inbound calls.

Management: Two new parameters added in the path Mgr->SIP->SIP Ext Gateway:

100 REL for outbound calls

100 REL for inbound calls

These parameters were not correctly translated if system was migrating from old release (right
translation since J1.410.34.f and J1.410.35).

6.1.3 Logical partitioning in 6 party Ad-hoc conference

Description: Logical partitioning is allowed for 3 party conference. The goal is to extend logical
partitioning to 6 party Ad-hoc conference.
Logical partitioning means that trunks in various areas cannot be put in conference (linked to
connection category).
Management: No new parameter (same as for 3 party conference).

TDM sets (like for IP Touch).

Management : No new parameter.

6.1.5 Manageable voice guide played during “personal trunk group seizure”

Description: As of version J1.410.38.c, OmniPCX Enterprise allow to manage voice guide played
during personal TG seizure.

Management : The new guide "GPNUM_PERS_ID" (Voice guide number 522) is mapped by default
to the Voice guide 14's flash messages(mgr -> system -> Descend Hierarchy -> voice guides ->
review/modify -> 522. Under "Flash message by language") as follows:

Voice Guide No. : 522

Function + Single-message Voice Guide
Voice Guide Start + NO
Backup Tone : 57
Flash message for language 1 : 14
Flash message for language 2 : 282
Flash message for language 3 : 362

Flash message for language 5 : 1068
Flash message for language 6 : 1069
Flash message for language 7 : 1070
Flash message for language 8 : 1071

Any voice guide or dynamic guide can be managed through the Voice guide 522.

6.1.6 Call Routing Group (CRG)

Description: As of version J1.410.38.c, OmniPCX Enterprise allows to program on a set an

overflow path instead of a unique number. This overflow path is defined as a list of numbers. When
an incoming call on a set overflows on the path, it rings these numbers one after the other, until the
call is taken or reaches the end of the list. If end of the list is reached, the incoming call overflows on
the voice mail of the set where the overflow path has been programmed.
On user’s set, overflow to a call routing group is defined as a forward. All types of forward are
allowed (immediate, busy, non-answer or busy & non-answer).

Restrictions: No CSTA transfer and No RSI for this feature

Limits: As call routing groups and entities share the same memory space, it is important to note that
this reference is common between the two objects. It means that if an entity with number 10 already
exists it will not be possible to create a call routing group with the number 10.
The limit of 4000 entries in the data base applies to the sum of entities and call routing groups.

6.2.3 Keep voice flow for IP Touch / Transparent reboot for IP Touch

Description: These features will be available in R10.1 for the IP Touch EE sets.
