TYPE =CCS external circuit group using common channel signalling

TYPE =DCS external circuit group using D-channel signalling <option>

TYPE =SPE special circuit group

TYPE =IPT IP trunk

TYPE =ECCS external circuit group (MGW), common channel signalling (only in the MSC Server)

TYPE =EDCS external circuit group (MGW), D-channel signalling <option> (only in the MSC Server)

This parameter is obligatory.

circuit group name

Use this parameter to give a unique name to a circuit group. The max length of the parameter circuit group name (NCGR) is 16
characters, if the following FIFILE parameter is activated in the exchange:

(002,1636) = (PR_CL_T_SYSTEM_FUNCT_CONFIGUR,PR_NR_T_LONG_CGR _NAME_ENABLE)

localhost:8080/informationbrowser/index.jsp 2/11
13/06/2021 RCC CREATE CIRCUIT GROUP

NCGR circuit group name

This parameter is obligatory for all circuit group types.

circuit group number

Use this parameter to give a unique number to a circuit group.

CGR circuit group number

This parameter is obligatory for the special circuit group.

If no parameter is entered, the first free circuit group number is selected.

Note:
Do not give circuit group numbers between 128 and 255, because that number area is used for special purposes by the
system.

direction

This parameter defines the direction of traffic for the circuits in the circuit group in relation to the exchange.

DIR =IN incoming

DIR = OUT outgoing

DIR = BI bidirectional

If the direction is outgoing or bidirectional, an external circuit group is hunted. Use the HUNTED parameter to define hunting
for the special circuit groups.

This parameter is obligatory for the CAS, CCS, ECCS, and BICC circuit groups.

signalling network

This parameter defines the network type for the CCS circuit group. The network is a set of nodes and links that provide
connections between two or more defined points to facilitate the communication of telecommunications information between
them.

NET =IN0 international network number 0

NET =IN1 international network number 1

NET =NA0 national network number 0

NET =NA1 national network number 1

This parameter is obligatory for the CCS, ECCS, and BICC circuit groups.

signalling point code

localhost:8080/informationbrowser/index.jsp 3/11
13/06/2021 RCC CREATE CIRCUIT GROUP

Signalling point code is a binary code that identifies a signalling point in a signalling network.

SPC signalling point code

This parameter identifies the signalling point code of the partner exchange. Give the signalling network parameter
before giving this parameter.

This parameter is obligatory for the CCS, ECCS, and BICC circuit groups.

circuit group hunted

Use this parameter when creating a special circuit group to define whether the circuit group is hunted or not. For example,
circuits for conference device can be hunted when a call is established.

HUNTED =Y circuit group is hunted

HUNTED =N circuit group is not hunted

This parameter is obligatory for the special circuit group type.

fully qualified domain name

This parameter defines the domain name of the partner exchange.

FQDN fully qualified domain name

This parameter is obligatory for the IP Trunk and the SIP type circuit group for control plane routing in the MSC Server.

line signalling

This parameter indicates the transmission of line signals in the signalling time slot of the PCM circuit. In certain cases, also the
transmission of register signals and alarm signals of unattended exchanges in the software platform system.

LSI line signalling

Identifier for the line signalling mode used on the circuits.

This parameter is obligatory for external circuit groups.

auxiliary signalling

Auxiliary signalling is used to define a tunnelling signalling protocol, for example, in case of the ISUP tunnelling with the SIP. The
line signalling to be tunnelled is defined with the LSI parameter.

ASI auxiliary signalling

This parameter is optional.

user part

The user part is the functional part of the common channel signalling system, which transfers signalling messages through the
message transfer part. Different types of user parts exist, for example for telephone and data services, each of which is
specified to a particular use of the signalling system.

This parameter can have the following values:

localhost:8080/informationbrowser/index.jsp 4/11
13/06/2021 RCC CREATE CIRCUIT GROUP

UPART = IUP Interconnect User Part

UPART = TUP Telephone User Part

UPART = ITUP International Telephone User Part

UPART = ISUP ISDN User Part

UPART = BSSAP Base Station System Application Part

UPART = DSS1 Digital Subscriber Signalling System No.1

UPART = DPNSS Digital Private Network Signalling System

This parameter is obligatory for the ECCS and the EDCS typed circuit groups (MSC Server). The first five values in the list are
allowed only in the ECCS typed cgrs and the two latter ones, the DSS1 and the DPNSS are the only allowed values for the EDCS
typed cgrs.

the use of the special circuit group

This parameter defines the characteristics of the special circuit group.

This parameter can have the following values:

USE = NOSPE No special characteristics (default value)

USE = INTC The interconnect CGR for TDM-circuits between the MSC Server and the Media Gateway.

USE = OLCM The Online Call monitoring CGR for TDM-circuits at the Media Gateway.

USE = EOLCM The External Online Call monitoring CGR for TDM-circuits at the Media Gateway.

If the parameter is not given the default value NOSPE is used.

call control parameter set

A different combination of the call control parameters can be set for an incoming circuit group. To handle the parameters, use
the commands of the CB command group.

NCCP call control parameter set name

This parameter is obligatory for an incoming or a bidirectional, or for the EDCS typed circuit group.

interface <option>

This parameter defines the interface which determines the upper limit of the CIC.

IFAC name of interface

localhost:8080/informationbrowser/index.jsp 5/11
13/06/2021 RCC CREATE CIRCUIT GROUP

This parameter is obligatory for the CCS and the ECCS circuit group when the free CIC allocation is used in the exchange.

dual seizure preventing method

This parameter defines the method for preventing dual seizure on bidirectional CCS, BICC, and ECCS circuit groups. It defines
the hunting order and the hunting method (hunting group and selection method) for the circuits.

METHOD = 0 reversed method 1

METHOD = 1 method 1

METHOD = 2 method 2

METHOD = 3 user defined circuit order

This parameter is obligatory for the bidirectional CCS, BICC, and ECCS circuit groups.

When using the user-defined circuit order, that is METHOD=3, define the method when adding circuits to the circuit group by
using the RCA command.

incoming register signalling

Use this parameter to define the incoming register signalling on the circuit group.

INR incoming register signalling

This parameter is obligatory for the DCS circuit group as well as the incoming and the bidirectional CAS, CCS, ECCS, EDCS, and
BICC circuit groups.

analysis tree

This parameter indicates the number of the analysis tree in which the analysis of the dialled digits coming from the circuit
group takes place.

TREE number of the analysis tree

This parameter is obligatory for the DCS circuit group as well as the incoming and bidirectional CAS, CCS, ECCS, EDCS, and BICC
circuit groups.

name of the MGW

The name of the Media Gateway, the termination IDs (TERMID) of which are attached to the circuit group.

MGW the Name of the Media Gateway

This parameter is obligatory for the ECCS, the EDCS, and the TDMC circuit groups or if the USE parameter of the special
circuit group is INTC, OLCM, or EOLCM.

name of the destination MGW

The name of the Destination Media Gateway where the termIDs attached to the Circuit Group leads.

DMGW the name of the Destination Media Gateway

localhost:8080/informationbrowser/index.jsp 6/11
