time, then the New Year’ party would have been cancelled and Alicia would have
been angry. If the party were cancelled, then refunds would have had to be made. No
refunds were made. Therefore, the band could play rock music.
5. If it does not rain or if it is not foggy, then the sailing race will be held and the
life saving demonstration will go on. If the sailing race is held, then the trophy will
be awarded. The trophy was not awarded. Therefore, it rained.
6. “It is not sunny this afternoon and it is colder than yesterday. We will go
swimming only if it is sunny. If we do not go swimming, then we will take a canoe
trip. If we take a canoe trip, then we will be home by sunset”. – will lead to the
conclusion “We will be home by sunset”.
7. “If you send me an e – mail message, then I will finish writing the program. If you
do not send me an e – mail message, then I will go to sleep early. If I go to sleep
early, then I will wake up feeling refreshed”. – will lead to the conclusion “If I do not
finish writing the program, then I will wake up feeling refreshed.”

hidden in the estate. “If the house is next to a lake, then the treasure is not in the
kitchen ”, “If the tree in front of yard is a mango tree, then the treasure is in the
kitchen” , “The house is next to a lake”, “The tree in the front yard i a mango tree
or the trea ure i placed behind the mirror in the wall of the bed room”, and “If
the tree in the back yard i an oak tree, then the trea ure i in the drawing room”.
