2 SURFACE PREPARATION & PAINTING
a) HPWJ is 500 bar max.it is used dissolve rast from the the surfaces
b) Paints will be supplied by the owner
c) SA2 ,SA1 , Sweeping area calculated min.250 m2 if less then
d) Staging, crane service and cherry picker usage included in price
e) Blowing of surfaces after abrasive blasting is included in price
f) Hand scraping/mechanical cleaning to be charged extra in case it
is necessary before/after sand blasting
g) Price of stripe coat painting will be charged on the rate of full coat
h) Protection of deck machinery and equipment against the defects
which may occur during cleaning and painting works will be
carried out by vessel.
i) Coating of bituminous or zinc epoxy paint will be charged as 25%
addition to rate of full coat painting
j) In case only washing and painting works will be carrying out, the
price will be revised as per shipyard general terms
k) For estimating of dry - dock & repair period, it is assumed that
minimum one coat per can be applied
l) Chemical cleaning and other surface treatment works will be extra
if needed
m) Protection of hull anodes,catodic protection unit stern tube and
propeller during blasting and painting are included in prices
n) Surfaces will be calculated by our technicians during the repairs
and will be compared with owner's values.
o) Application of special type paints more than 250 micron DFT/coat
to be charged extra.
p) Cleaning of dock, residuals etc. are included in prices. Collecting
and disposal of empty paint drums to be shipyard property
r) Cleaning of holds from grit/paint reasiduals are included in prices

10.1.5 For testing of tanks, loading/ discharging will be carried out by
vessel' s pumps.
10.1.6 All welding seams inspection with x-rays and ultrasonic will be
owner/ manager' s account. In case a failure determines at the
inspections after fixing the failure the additional x-rays and
ultrasonic which may have taken will be Yard' s account.
10.1.7 Time spent for tank cleaning workss which is related with or
obstructs the steel works will not be included in repair period.
10.1.8 All steel scrap shall be yard' s property.
10.1.9 Staging is included in steel renewal prices for min. 600kg steel
renewal ordered above a staging tower 6 sqm base area.
10.1.10 Corrugated/bended steel to be added 0 .20 usd per kg

14 GENERAL NOTES
14.1 All prices are in US dollars and VAT will not be applied. Final total
price will be determined at the end of the works after assessing
exact amount of work undertaken by Yard.
14.2 All works documents and certificates of completion to be signed
by Shipowners' representative and the Master before the vessel' s
departure from the shipyard.
14.3 Unless otherwise agreed while the vessel is in the Yard' s
premises, the Shipowner is not permitted to directly employ any
labour and / or Subcontractor. In any case the vessel' s crew is not
permitted to perform any hot work but are permitted to continue
their routine maintenance work.
14.4 Foreign equipment maker' s engineers and/ or technicians can also
be arranged by the owner to attend upon specific repairs i.e.
navigation, communication and certain electronic equipment
there is no local representation for such respective equipment
makers. However local representatives of all equipment makers
and suppliers to be always arranged by the Yard.
14.5 In case of hogging, sagging and / or local deformation on ship' s
hull that requires remedial work and / or additional block
arrangement, Shipowner shall be responsible for this additional
cost.
14.6 Unless otherwise specially agreed, port chemist, maker' s
specialists and Customs expenses are not included in above
prices.
14.7 Cleaning of dock, residuals etc. Are included in prices.
14.8 Water draining from holds after washing to be done through the
vessel' s hold bilge wells.
14.9 Attached Shipyard' s Standart terms and Condition of contract and
shipyard' s notes for each individual item will be in force instead of
owner' s Tender conditions and owner' s notes for each individual item
14.10 Other terms will be discussed before contract sigining.
