"Hey, how are you?" Sam tapped the shoulder of his colleague
"I am fine; what about you?" John tried to smile
"I am good." Sam smiled back
"I was noticing you during the meeting; you were not mentally there. What
is going on?" Sam asked
"Yeah, I am worried because of a huge loss," John said sadly
"What… What kind of loss you had faced?"
"My bank account got hacked, and all my savings are gone. This was a huge
loss for me," John said with great sorrow.
"Oh, I am sorry... But how is this possible?" Sam asked
"I don't know what happened" John nodded his head
"Wait! Listen, did you follow all the security rules? Sam asked
"What kinds of rules are you talking about?" John got curious
"Listen to these carefully; these rules are going to help you a lot," Said Sam
"I am all ears," John was attentive
1. Always keep your mobile phone, computer, and tablet updated with
the latest operating system.
2. Install Proper Antivirus software also ensures you install an updated
operating system with the latest security updates.
3. If you're using a computer or laptop, make sure the Firewall is
enabled.
4. Regularly check your privacy settings to ensure your details are safe.
5. Do not share sensitive information like your personal details, OTP,
credit card information, bank account, or any other government
identification details on email or even on phone calls.
6. Do think before you upload personal details, photos, or videos once
posted. These are in the public domain and can't be taken back.
7. Do not use open or untrusted Wi-Fi connections for surfing the
Internet. Who doesn't like using free Wi-Fi? You will find free Wi-Fi
in many places, like schools and colleges, malls, airports, etc. Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi is excellent. Never do transactions using a free Wi-Fi
connection. Hackers can use such open, unsecured bots to steal
money from your bank accounts or digital wallets when performing
online transactions to ensure the link you are using is secure.
8. Ensure site with https - Verify use of a secure session (https:// and
not http ://) when entering passwords on the internet.
