• Invert View - changes the azimuth from 0º to 180º or vice
versa. This is to be used in conjunction with the Rotate View
180º option under Viewer Properties > View Options.
• Orient Strips and Labels with hole – orients strips relative to
the up vector defined by the start and end points of the hole
rather than based on the planar view.
• Display Offsection Distances at Collar and End Point - will
display the distance of the drillhole from its collar or end point
to the 2D grid plane the hole is displayed.

• Alternate Label Drawing - will display the downhole assay values in the direction perpendicular to the
drillhole trace. If toggled Off, the values are displayed horizontally. The Alternate Label Drawing toggle
should be used when viewing vertical drillhole views with vertical exaggeration.
• Draw Histograms and Wiggle Traces in One Direction - will cause histogram strips found on the left
side of the drillhole to be drawn as if it were on the right side
• Piercement angle is a 'threshold' angle which determines the display style of strips for near-vertical
drillholes. The bigger the piercement angle, the more likely a drillhole is considered vertical and is thus
displayed as a point.

Geotech Dip Diagrams at drillhole collars.

Dip Direction Item (azimuth) and Dip Item and

Coefficient Item are used to orient Disks,
Sticks, tadpoles in Dip Meter strips and Rose
Diagrams.
Disks - are visible in 3-D, and sticks are
displayed in 2-D. Disks can be Toggled ON/OFF,
displayed as triangles of varying size and colour
and filtered for frequency or user criteria.
Collar Rose/Geotech Diagram - plots a rose
diagram or a Geotech Dip Meter at the top of the
drillhole in 3D- views. In a Rose Diagram petals
are oriented by the dip direction (azimuth) and
their length is based on the number of samples

with the same azimuth. In a Geotech Dip Diagram the dip direction (azimuth) data
is sorted into oriented petals and the number of bins for dip is based off the dip
item's cut-off table, normally 4 to 5 bins. The petal length is based on the number
43
of
samples with those azimuth & dip orientations.

surfaces to be coded to either assays or composites directly in the viewer.
Three coding options are available: Code intervals,
Create geometry or Export intersections. Begin by
selecting the solid(s) or surfaces(s) geometry to be used
for coding the drillhole intervals. These solids/surfaces
must be open in the viewer. Multiple solids can be used
by choosing the folder those open objects exist in.
Code Intervals – select the item for coding; the
selected item's range is displayed next to the selection.
Optionally an interval percent item can be chosen,
which will store the percentage of an interval within the
solid. Specify a value for Code intervals >= % inside
solid to set the interval based on how much of the
interval exists within the solid. Toggle ON Reset code
items to assign a specific value to all intervals in the
loaded drillholes prior to coding the intervals using the
spearing function

Create Geometry - generates marker and line

segments for the interval within the solid
Export intersections - will export to an ASCII file the coordinates of the intersection points
between the drillholes and the geometry objects. The format is: DHID x y z (collar
distance) (elevation distance). 47
