Project Problem Statement

Imagine you have applied to Internshala. Here is a list of some roles available at Internshala. Pick any one of these
and go through the steps below to prepare yourself for applying at Internshala.

List of roles and their descriptions:

A. Visual Designer

As a visual designer, what will you do?

1. Work on a wide variety of design problems ranging from graphic design, social media, animation, video
shooting/editing etc.

2. Work closely with different teams (product, marketing, social media) to deliver design solutions that solve user
problems elegantly and effectively across all use cases of design.
3. Create engaging content for our trainings platform along with our instructional designers and subject matter
experts.

Who are we looking for?

1. Someone who enjoys and thrives on creating original, beautiful content, be it graphic, animation or video.

2. Someone who is excited by Internshala’s vision of creating a world full of opportunities for every student and
aspires to find a larger meaning and purpose in his/her work and the difference it makes.

3. Someone who is strong in graphic design, illustrations, etc. In-depth hands-on experience with Adobe Creative
Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a must.

4. Someone with 3 basic Hs – Humility, Honesty, and Hardwork and someone for whom relentless pursuit of
excellence is a way of life.

B. App Developer

Your responsibilities would include-


1. Building and maintaining features for our Android app

2. Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

4. Continuously researching and implementing new technologies to improve application performance and
development efficiency

What will be your responsibilities?

1. Writing SEO-based articles and listicles on topics revolving around the educational domain for Internshala blog

2. Editing student entries for different contests before publishing them on the blog

3. Writing relevant articles for media publications

Who are we looking for?

Someone who -

1. Recognizes the transformational power of words

2. Has a flair for writing and can blow our minds with creativity

3. Hates grammatical errors more than Dolores Umbridge

4. Has strong editing and proofreading skills


5. Has a very high sense of ownership and integrity

D. Marketing Manager

About the role-

Today more than 3 million students use Internshala for their training and internship requirements & over 100,000
employers trust Internshala as their one-stop solution to find the best interns.

As a part of the marketing team, you will be working with the digital marketing team to get students/companies
on board.

Your day-to-day activities will broadly include-

1. Coming up with new ideas to promote Internshala's business among employers along with their end to end
planning and execution

2. Analyzing the results of the campaigns that you do and finding solutions to improve their performance
3. Managing email marketing campaigns - coming up with great content and optimizing it over time for better
results

4. Handling marketing operations tasks - handling client interaction and replying to marketing emails

What will you gain from this internship?

ability, develop planning and execution skills, and nurture your analytical skills.

Tasks to Perform

Keeping any of the above 4 profiles in mind, perform the tasks given below. If you do not want to apply to any of
these profiles, you can take any other profile of your choice and perform the tasks given below accordingly.

Q1. Go through the 'About Us' page and make a note of 3 things from it that you can use to impress the HR when
applying for a job here.

Q2. Find out the name of 2 HRs at Internshala and also the name of the CEO.
Q3. Go through the various social media platforms and check out on which of these is Internshala active.

Q4. Prepare a cover letter to be sent to the hiring manager for a profile that you are interested in.

Q5. Write the answers to the following HR questions:

a) Why do you want to join our organisation?

b) What are your expectations from this job?

c) If you were offered a similar job with another organisation with higher pay, would you leave us?

d) If you were to join us, what is the one thing you would like to change about the company?
