You will learn the basics of games industry, arts & technology.

If you later want to pursue to study a whole degree in games development, this course will give you the benefit
of already knowing some of the basics. Most importantly, many universities will interview you before
accepting you as a student. If you have completed all 25 ECTS you will have an advantage against other
applicants to enter that degree course. ECTS University credits system is well known and it tells the university
(interviewee) an idea how much time and effort you have spent studying (approximately) already.

Q3: Who is providing this course?

The course and ECTS credits, official university credits are provided to you by well-known Finnish university,
XAMK South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.

with teaching with videos – is simple and works.
Q4: How much does the course cost? A: The course is for free of charge, there are NO fees. There are NO
fees for completion or requesting the transcript of records (certificate). Enjoy it! Professionally developed

after completing at least 1 ECTS credit. This certificate is internationally accredited and recognized.

complete the course.

Q7: How much time do I need to complete the course? In theory, 1 ECTS is approximately 27hrs of work.
The course works in a way that the first modules you study are very easy to complete but then at a later stage it
will become not just more difficult but will require significantly more time to complete.

Q8: How much of an academic year the course cover? The course at the moment 25ECTS covers 40% of an

We want to see you actively studying and learning. If you have any issues with timings (e.g. university
exams, work) please let me know at maarika@cadgi.org and we will sort it out together.

in your registration email from XAMK. We need to have your real FirstName and FamilyName in our records.

Q11: How is teaching delivered? A: Teaching is done by means of professional videos and responding to your
questions. There are no classes, you can study anytime from anywhere, from home for instance.

Q12: What are the tech requirements to study the course? A: most importantly you need an internet
connection, smart phone at first and later on desk/laptop. There is NO need for a graphic tablet but preferable.

questions by emailing me at maarika@cadgi.org or commenting below the lecture video/page and we respond
to you as soon as we can.

Q14: I have submitted my deliverable assignment but I have not got an answer for the result. What
should I do? A: We will ALWAYS answer to you personally if you have passed a module. If you do not
receive an email from us within 2 weeks from submission please contact us. We only assess modules with
'accepted' (pass) or 'fail'. In your transcript it is 'H" (pass in Finnish language) In the case of fail we will try to
support you to complete the module.

Q15: Can I study with my friends? A: Yes, of course! Games development is all about team work. However,
when you submit your work you have to show that it has been you personally who have worked on the
Deliverable. Example: gather friends together, discuss the lectures and study at the same time and share ideas.
One helps another to complete the module.

Q16: What is a professional certificate PROC? A: This is your ultimate goal! In the case you complete the
whole course, we will, as professionals, write you a personal professional certificate for your great and hard

European official higher education (University) level credits that (with approval) can be used part of your
degree studies or when applying to study in European universities (interviews/evidence of interest/CV).
