Rovelyn at 18 Emcee Script: Acknowledgement of The Parents
Good afternoon everyone. Despite the limitations posed by the pandemic, we thank you so much for
being here with us in this celebration.
Welcome to a very special day filled with blue and pastel colors as we celebrate the remarkable life of a
girl who is now turning into a fine lady.
Our debutant today is exceptional. Ever since, we knew her as this cute, talented, confident little girl we
all loved. Her voice just seemed to comfort our hearts every time. Her confidence and humility made her
stood up. Her words, her personality, just every piece of her, was unique and lovable.
She is very driven and passionate to her goals. And we all know how she is doing everything for her
family, for her loved ones, and for the greater glory of God.
We watched her grow over the years, we saw her blissful personality, we grew up listening to her
beautiful voice, we witnessed her slowly achieving all the desires of her heart, and how she stayed
humble and kept her feet on the ground… We’ve been there in her journey, on how she turned into the
wonderful young woman she is now.
As a jumpstart, of course, we would like to acknowledge the people behind our debutant’s life and
success. Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome the parents of our celebrant… Mr. and Mrs.
Vebian and Robert Marquesa!
This time, to officially open our celebration for today, let’s hear an opening song by Ms. Shane Leslee
Castillo and Ms. Alexis Ritz Labaya!
Opening Song
Today is a celebration of adulthood and a thanksgiving of the life God has given to our beloved
celebrant. Friends, let us put our hands together, as we welcome the main highlight of this celebration,
and as she stepped into the next level of her life, ladies and gentlemen, our lovely debutant, Ms.
Rovelyn Abilay Marquesa!
Wow, beautiful and stunning, indeed! Again, let us give a big hand for our lovely debutant Ms. Rovelyn
Abilay Marquesa! Syempre, kung gwapa ang debutant, liwat sa giliwatan. So kay kinsa kaya naliwat si
Rovelyn? Kay Mama or kay Papa? Mm hm, Evidently, before today, Rovelyn had happy years in a very
happy home. The love of a family will always be God’s greatest blessing. And we all know, that in every
journey of out debutant, her family always give her full support. So this time, para tubagon ang atong
pangutana, kung asa man gyud naliwat si Rovelyn, and to welcome us all today, let us hear some words
of welcome from our debutant’s very supportive mother, Mrs. Vebian A. Marquesa!
Welcome Address
Wow, indeed, as they say, in life we can have several friends, classmates, and social circles, but there is
only one family who is always willing and ready to welcome us no matter what. Thank you Mama Veb
for that very emotional message.
This time, like a beautiful flower that attracts bees and butterflies, Rovelyn will be surrounded by 18
equally handsome gentlemen who will represent the debutant’s 18 roses. However, some of them won’t
be able to join us today, so the others will be presented via Audio Video Presentation.
18. The last dance is of course reserved to the forever most handsome and most loving guy in
her life. Rovelyn’s 18th rose, ladies and gentlemen, Papa Robert Marquesa!
18 Roses
And that’s it! Again, let us give a round of applause to our debutant’s 18 roses!
At this juncture, we will call on some people who will be given a chance to bless our debutant financially,
and please give Rov a very short message lang. We will now have the 18 blue bills, starting off with:
Blue Bills
At this juncture, before we proceed to our Dinner, may I request everyone to please stand for our Prayer
before meals, to be led to us by _______________________.
Dinner
Now, while everybody is enjoying their food, let us hear some virtual greetings for our debutant. Let us
all watch this Audio Video Presentation.
AVP Greetings
Wow, thank you so much to all our virtual greeters. By listening to their messages, we like had a quick
look of how Rovelyn came about.
And This time, I think there are some people who are still eating, so why not let’s play a game? But dili ni
siya para sa visitors, so ligtas… This is a game for our debutant, and her parents…. O diba unique?
Okay, so may I request Papa Robert and Mama Vebian to stand beside the debutant. Okay, ready na ba
mo Mama and Papa? Unsa inyong gibati?
This game is called “Who’s who?” So, the mechanic is: I will ask 10 questions to Rovelyn, and she will
answer it by either two choices: MAMA or PAPA. Hmm. And whoever she will mention, will eat a whole
cupcake! WHOLE ha, karon… I think you now have the idea on what this game will be all about!
Rovelyn has shared a part of her growing years with all of us. And… as Willa Cather quotes, “Where
there is great love, there are always wishes.” Because birthdays are always new beginnings, new
endeavors with new set of goals, sending birthday messages and wishes while blowing candles is a
tradition. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the 18 Candles for our debutant. Starting off with:
AVP WELL-WISHERS
Together with the 18 candles, the birthday cake is the main symbol of wishes in a dream. Birthday cake
symbolizes the wishes you have in life and seeing them in dream means that these wishes will soon
come true.
At this part of the program, let us light the candle of Gwyn’s birthday cake, as our lovely and stunning
debutant will blow the candles. And to complete that customary practice, let us all sing joyfully a song I
am very sure everybody is familiar with, the traditional happy birthday song!
But of course, we are still not done with the surprises for our celebrant. At this moment, we will be
calling on some people who have been giving the gift of love and care to Rov ever since. And now, they
will represent the 18 Treasures.
Today’s celebration tells me that the best demonstration of gratitude in response to a wonderful
experience like this one can be contained in an overwhelming thank you. And if there’s one person here
today who is more than grateful to see all of us, that would be our beloved celebrant, Rovelyn. I’m now
giving the floor to our dear debutant to offer us her Thank you message and her Thank you song.
Wow, thank you so much Rov for that very sweet thank you song and message. Again let’s give a
resounding round of applause to our lovely debutant, Ms. Rovelyn Abilay Marquesa!
Thank you everybody for being here with us in this special day of Rovelyn. This has been your host,
Gwyn Kelly Lobitos, may God bless each one of us. Keep safe and enjoy the rest of the night!
