II. Introduction
Good morning my dear students! I am teacher Herbert Rabaya and it is my pleasure to be your class adviser
for this Sy 2021-2022. I, together with the STAS administration, faculty, and staff, appreciate all of you i will
also be very thankful if you will stay with us until the end of this orientation. So, without further ado, I would
like to request everyone to put ourselves in the holy presence of God as we do the opening prayer, everybody
is also requested to stay still and sit erect as we sing the Philippine National Anthem and STAS Hymn.
III. (PRAYER)
V. (STAS HYMN)
I can still recall the anxiety that I felt a year ago upon learning that STAS will be having the online class for the
Academic year 2020-2021. A lot of questions came into my mind such as “How are we going to deliver the
lessons online?”, “What platform are we going to use?”, and “Will the students learn the same way as they
had in the previous school year?”. Apparently, these questions do not only affect me or the teachers but the
parents as well. Most of us especially the students were having trouble about Adaptability Struggle, Technical
Issues, Computer Literacy, Time Management, and Self-Motivation. Despite these apprehensions, we have
proven that there is nothing we can’t learn or do as long as we put our heart, mind and effort into it. As they
say, “Kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto palaging merong paraan”. The recently concluded academic year
was indeed a success and a proof of it.
. So on behalf of the STAS Administration, Faculty and Staff, I would like to welcome you all to this Students
Online Orientation Program for this year’s Online Summer Tutorial.
VII. Netiquette
The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world. Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of the
classroom. As a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby
teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. With this, questions like “What are expected of me
as an online student?” or “As a parent, how will I be able to contribute to the success of my child’s learning?”
arise. To enlighten us about the roles and responsibilities of students and parents in online learning, my dear
parents and guardians, let us all pay attention to teacher Phoebe Lagahit as she discusses to us the Ground
Rules and the Online Protocols.
What time are you expected to join our online class? Kindly take note of the schedule presented on your
screen.
I also have the list of requirements or materials that you have to prepare. Please take note.
IX. Closing
And with that, May the matters discussed serve as a catalyst to move us forward and cause us to advance and
see growth in all areas of our lives. Let us then ask the guidance of the Father Almighty and acknowledge his
presence as we all say… in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit. Amen.
X. (Prayer)
Once again, Thank you so much our dear parents and students for joining us today! This has been teacher
Melody Bas Looking forward to seeing you again online. Keep safe everyone! May God bless us all!
