Media and society: New media as an advent to advance technology

As technology continuously emerging and transforming society into modern age, media has
begun to change society. The expanding forms of media brought people to fast and easy way of
making things to happen. Media allows people to explore new ideas and information and develop
new concept and knowledge. It connects different dimensions where virtual idea turns into
reality. Many countries endlessly studying and conducting researches about media. That’s how
people curious and have no satisfaction where they continue to develop new technologies to
advancement.
New media has made people life become easy. Make jobs more facilely and expeditious.
Connect people to people. Media technology is already essential part of our society and everyday
there is a new form of media emerging. People used cellphone to connect their love ones.
Example is the facebook. It’s a social app where people can share thoughts, post pictures and
send messages. Facebok has been widely used by people even from different countries.
Computers, a perfect tool for us to use in many forms. Example, students used computer for
research, making assignments and other form of tasks like essay. For employee, it helps them to
make their reports, emails and other office job. Television, is also another forms of media. Most
of us have this media, television is a channel media that entertains people, provide new
knowledge and information and even manipulate us to engage adopt such thing. These are few of
the example of media that our society used.
Even how helpful these medias are, it has negative effects to us. People misleading media as
means of technology. Abuse toward others. Instead, they used media as their advantage. In
facebook, there are people who used fake accounts to tease other, cyber bullying, is the most
common problem and it is still happening right now. Computer used to hack account, connect to
explode bombs and used to threat others. Television, provide false information and manipulate
our cognitive aspect.
Media is indeed a vital to us. It is continuously upgrading and utilized by our society. But in spite
of these, we, the media user must take responsible with our action. The different point of view of
media however should be balanced and carefully manage. Sometimes, we are in a difficult and
emotional situation, hence, we should disregard and deeply think before making action and
sharing our thoughts because no matter useful or destructive these different forms of media are, it
is us who are responsible to used and experience its result from negative action.
