COURSE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION: This course, delivered via distance learning, will enable students to complete academic work in a flexible
manner, completely online primarily using the Google Classroom and pre-recorded video discussions. Course resources and access to an
online learning management system will be made available to each student either via Google Drive and other available platforms for online
learning management system. Online activities are due each week as noted and include recitations, examinations, and individual
assignments.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students are guided by their understanding of management science principles and techniques to better serve the interest of the managers for
better decision making.

This course introduces the nature, functions, scope and limitations of the broad field of management science and prepared the students with a
comprehensive understanding of the principles and techniques to provide solution for different management problems.

Students are expected to apply all the techniques and recommend/present solution for every management problems..

COURSE REQUIREMENT/S: The following shall be the requirements to pass the course:
1. Online Attendance via Google Classroom
2. Pass the quizzes and the online summative exams
3. Preparation and maintenance of the e-Portfolio the will contain:
a. Submitted assignments and exercises.
b. Exams and result thereof
c. Recording of class presentations and copies of materials used like PPT, videos, etc.

The students enrolled in this course are encouraged to have the following:
1. A textbook or resource materials – optional and recommended materials
a. Introduction to Management Science by Bernard W. Taylor (11th Edition)
2. Internet/mobile data connection for the downloading and uploading of documents in the Google classroom
3. Any of these gadgets (mobile phone, tablet pc, laptop, desktop).

COURSE EVALUATION/
GRADING SYTEM: The following evaluation and criteria will be used to grade the performance of the students for this course:

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, the students are expected to:
1. Obtain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding on all principles and techniques of management science.
2. Demonstrate knowledge in principles underlying model constructions, model solution and implementation.
3. Demonstrate knowledge in identifying the appropriate management science techniques to apply to specific business transactions and other
events.
4. Demonstrate skills in applying the principles of the management science through problem solving.
