APEX COMPUTERS

INTRODUCTION
Apex Computer Productions were the brothers John and Steve
Rowlands, British based game designers and programmers on the
Commodore 64 in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
They programmed in pure assembly language and their earliest
commercial release was Cyberdyne Warrior, a platform shooter,
for Hewson in 1989. Soon after, they entered a relationship with
Thalamus the game publishing arm of Zzap!64, who published
their next game, Retrograde.

TOPIC : Employee Motivation

SUMMARY : This is real moment of truth in Zen Computer,

about Rohit Narang, when he joined this company as an assistant
programmer. After joining, he thought about himself that he
could grow up and he grew from Zen to Apex computer as a
senior programmer and he was enjoying his work too much. At
Zen, Rohit has worked under Suresh Reddy and one of the
mentor and worked as a good guide for him. Not only he was
always guiding him by and never interfering but also encouraged
him.

On the other hand, in Apex, Rohit joined Aparna Mehta’s

five member team. One of the team member named Dipti,
suggested him Aparna would not interfare our work and she tries
to ignore us. This sentence of Dipti was played a role.

While working at 1st week, his team assigned by new

project and they were facing a few problems in his software.
When Rohit thought if he would come with solution, ofcourse his
boss will be happy with him. And late night, he did hard work
and come with new solution and went to meet with Aparna, but
many times she ignored him and said so send on e-solution,
instead of listening.

According to Sanjay, one of the team member, ”Aparna

always tries to do, when she wants to do, besides of others
feelings. She tries his best and we will do the same thing what
she tells us to do. And finally , nothing could be happen in
meeting and Rohit felt very bad.

ANALYSIS : This case study is refer to modern theory because

there is a operation research, operation management and
information technology. Here there is way of change in the
company. In this case the humanistic perspective describe. Here
Aparna is not mean for discuss and listen she will only give order
and other have to follow.

FINDINGS : Of course, Apex Computers is one of the big and

successful company in Gaming sector. Company have a strong
management policy, employee satisfaction and income feedback
facility and incentives for their employees. This case indicates
that the Rohit’s feeling was hurted but every project was move
ever.
CONCLUSION : According to my views, If here Aparna
followed Hawthone experiment to Rohit never felt bad because
she always thinks that his employees were machine and they will
do whatever she says.
