MRS. LEODRITA JERUSALEM

Program Head

Brief Description of the Project

The Surigao State College of Technology – Mainit Campus offers different programs
major in Bachelor of Agricultural Technology, Bachelor of Technology Livelihood Education
excellence-driven institution of higher learning committed to produce holistic and globally
competitive individuals and commissioned to provide relevant, high quality and sustainable
instruction, research, production and extension programs and services within a culture of credible
and responsive institutional governance. One of the goals of the school is to have a quality
production that can be rummage-sale as instructor to the students, faculty, staff and the
stakeholders.

The school has an existing building for a venue of poultry house of the students who
engaged this poultry production. This is a year that has two continuous semesters (3 rd year in 2nd
semester and 4th year in first semester) year 2021-2022 This proponent to draft this poultry
production for possible financing so that the school can produce poultry product as a venue for
the students to engage this project.

The proposed project will be meat production. This project will propose 120 heads of
broiler chicken and it process in two cycles.

Project Contribution to the Economy

The poultry business is very forceful in our locality so that, I engage this production
because of the security of food like meat/chicken is highly needed and because of increasing
population. Even though it requires high money/capital but it can earn knowledge/skills on how
to manage this kind of business. Also, when food products for the broiler I help the economy
because every kilo that I buy has tax. Tax has big impact to our economy.

●good technical skills ●lack of co-operation
●disease
Opportunities Threats
●good understanding of market ●export of technical skills
●investment in technical efficiency ●various disease

Location

The project will be located at Purok Daisy Brgy. Roxas, Mainit, Surigao del Norte 150
meters stamated distance from the National Highway.

Market Area

2021-2022 the faculty and staff, local community of Brgy. Roxas, Mainit, Surigao del Norte
business establishment, the neighboring municipalities and even those from other provinces
where the students came from.

Total Demand

Chicken meat is a substitute for pork and beef. It is more affordable than any other meat
in the market place. Also in Locality Brgy. Roxas, Mainit, Surigao del norte, .there are small
numbers of farmers who engage this production and the others are for consumption purposes
only, maybe because they know that these production is laborious and not a rich quick enterprise
but they didn’t notice that these production is too demand due to lack of producers and sellers,
So the proponent decided to engage and embrace the risk to do this project for he/she know that
he/she can gain more profit because of its high demand.
