Q.1. Explain the four classifications of Cost of Quality, and their managerial implications. Also,
describe the Cause-and-Effect diagram, and how can this be used to control quality (draw relevant
Cause-and-effect diagram). [7]

Q.2. Describe FCFS, SPT, EDD schedules, and compare their likely performances on different criteria.

Q.3. Explain a) Slack, and its importance in managing projects, and b) Poka-Yoke and types of Poka-
Yoke. [7]

Q.4. Describe (a) Chase strategy and Level scheduling, (b) compare in a table the impact on these
strategies on inventory and capacity, and (c) give examples of two industries in which each of the
three strategies are most appropriate- justify your answer. [8]

Q.5. Compare the Pull production system and Pull production system, and explain role of the Suppliers,
Quick changeover (setup), and Scheduling for JIT production. [8]
