Curriculum Map Grade 6

The curriculum map outlines the first quarter plan for 6th grade mathematics. In week 1, students will learn to add and subtract simple and mixed fractions. Week 2 focuses on equivalent fractions and adding/subtracting dissimilar fractions. Students will multiply fractions in week 3, and divide fractions and mixed numbers in week 4. Week 5 covers solving routine and non-routine word problems involving fraction operations. Finally, week 6 introduces adding and subtracting decimals through ten. Formative and summative assessments are built into each week to measure student understanding of the targets.
