Guide Questions:
1. Describe the objectives of the game Basketball?
- As many as possible, shoot the basketball through your opponent's hoop.
- Score more points than the other team.
- Defend to prevent your opponent from scoring.

2. What do you think are the reasons why basketball game is very popular in the
different parts of the world?
- Because basketball is an exciting play/game. And the game can be enjoyed by
both the audience and the participant.

3. Filipino fans are the number one basketball fans in the world. How can you justify
this?
- I can justify it because basketball game is being played by Filipinos in anywhere
they want. And basketball is always the most popular sport in barangay
competitions.

Activity 3: “DO’s and DON’T”


Directions: Read carefully the different scenario/situation on each number, identify if it is a
must in a basketball game by answering “Do or Don’t”

Activity 4: Synthesizing Ideas

Guide Questions:
What are the relevance of having knowledge on the different terminologies used in
basketball to the following :

a. Players - In order the win the game and avoid violating the rule.
b. Game Officials- To assure that the game is being played correctly and
safely for both teams.
c. Expectators/Fans- For them to understand what is going on and the
present state of the game.
d. Students- For kids to be aware about basketball and be encouraged to play the
game because it is beneficial to them.

Activity 5: “SPELL OUT YOUR NAME”


Directions: Using the letters your FIRST name list down basketball terminologies not mentioned
(listed) on activity# 3.
Example: ARJAY

E- Elbow: Illegal contact with the elbow by an opponent.

R- Reverse Dribble: Otherwise known as "spin dribble" and is used to reverse direction of the
ball.
